EVALUATION OF ELECTRONIC GOVERNMENT SECURITY ISSUES APPLIED TO COMPUTER CENTER OF BAGHDAD UNIVERSITY (CASE STUDY)
...Show More Authors

Information security contributes directly to increase the level of trust between the government’s departments by providing an assurance of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive governmental information. Many threats that are caused mainly by malicious acts can shutdown the egovernment services. Therefore the governments are urged to implement security in e-government projects.
Some modifications were proposed to the security assessment multi-layer model (Sabri model) to be more comprehensive model and more convenient for the Iraqi government. The proposed model can be used as a tool to assess the level of security readiness of government departments, a checklist for the required security measures and as a common security reference in the government organizations of Iraq. In order to make this model more practical, applicable and to represent the security readiness with a numerical value, evaluation modeling has been done for this model by using fuzzy logic tool of MATLAB R2010a program.
Since the risk assessment is considered as a major part in the information security management system, an effective and practical method to assess security risk is proposed by combining FEMRA (fuzzy expert model risk assessment) and Wavelet Neural Network (WNN). The fuzzy system is used to generate the training data  set in order to make the required training for WNN. The proposed method is applied when a risk assessment case study is made at the computer center of Baghdad University. It is found from the numerical results that the risk levels obtained by WNN are (with maximum of 58.23) too close to these calculated from FEMRA (with maximum of 60), with an average error of 5.51%. According to these results, the proposed method is effective and reasonable and can provide the support toward establishing the e-government.

Influence of Fatty Acid Desaturase Enzyme-1 Gene (FADS-1) Polymorphism on Serum Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids Levels, Desaturase Enzymes, Lipid Profile, and Glycemic Control Parameters in Newly Diagnosed Diabetic Mellitus Patients
...Show More Authors

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a prevalent metabolic disorder caused by impaired insulin secretion from pancreatic β-cells and insulin resistance in target tissues. Genome-wide association studies have identified over 50 genetic variants linked to T2DM, including polymorphisms associated with the disease. This study investigates the impact of the FADS1 (rs174547) polymorphism in T2DM patients compared to healthy controls and examines serum levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, as well as D5D and D6D enzyme levels and activity. This case–control study included 120 participants: 60 newly diagnosed T2DM patients and 60 apparently healthy controls matched for age, sex, and other sociodemographic factors. Polyunsaturated fatt

An online COVID-19 self-assessment framework supported by IoMT technology
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>As COVID-19 pandemic continued to propagate, millions of lives are currently at risk especially elderly, people with chronic conditions and pregnant women. Iraq is one of the countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, in Iraq, there is a need for a self-assessment tool to be available in hand for people with COVID-19 concerns. Such a tool would guide people, after an automated assessment, to the right decision such as seeking medical advice, self-isolate, or testing for COVID-19. This study proposes an online COVID-19 self-assessment tool supported by the internet of medical things (IoMT) technology as a means to fight this pandemic and mitigate the burden on our nation</p> ... This paper presents a minimum delay congestion control in differentiated Service communication networks. The premium and ordinary passage services based fluid flow theory is used to build the suggested structure in high efficient manage. The established system is capable to adeptly manage both the physical network resource limitations and indefinite time delay related to networking system structure.

Measuring the Attribute Accuracy and Completeness for the OpenStreetMap Roads Networks for Two Regions in Iraq
...Show More Authors

The OpenStreetMap (OSM) project aims to establish a free geospatial database for the entire world which is editable by international volunteers. The OSM database contains a wide range of different types of geographical data and characteristics, including highways, buildings, and land use regions. The varying scientific backgrounds of the volunteers can affect the quality of the spatial data that is produced and shared on the internet as an OSM dataset. This study aims to compare the completeness and attribute accuracy of the OSM road networks with the data supplied by a digitizing process for areas in the Baghdad and Thi-Qar governorates. The analyses are primarily based on calculating the portion of the commission (extr

A Word Cloud Model based on Hate Speech in an Online Social Media Environment
...Show More Authors

Social media is known as detectors platform that are used to measure the activities of the users in the real world. However, the huge and unfiltered feed of messages posted on social media trigger social warnings, particularly when these messages contain hate speech towards specific individual or community. The negative effect of these messages on individuals or the society at large is of great concern to governments and non-governmental organizations. Word clouds provide a simple and efficient means of visually transferring the most common words from text documents. This research aims to develop a word cloud model based on hateful words on online social media environment such as Google News. Several steps are involved including data acq

Design Consolidate Cost Accounting System For Economic Entities
...Show More Authors

The Costing Accounting is one the analytic tools which plays important role by support the management in planning&  control and decisions-making ,as it became attendant necessity to establish any project whether industrial ,commercial ,service or agriculture ..etc.

The consolidated accounting system has committed the companies to have their active costing system in which the management can obtain their own data, but we found most of the economic units face problems of applying the costing system because of reasons related to the system design itself or might be related to the requirements of the application success.

MR Brain Image Segmentation Using Spatial Fuzzy C- Means Clustering Algorithm
...Show More Authors

conventional FCM algorithm does not fully utilize the spatial information in the image. In this research, we use a FCM algorithm that incorporates spatial information into the membership function for clustering. The spatial function is the summation of the membership functions in the neighborhood of each pixel under consideration. The advantages of the method are that it is less
sensitive to noise than other techniques, and it yields regions more homogeneous than those of other methods. This technique is a powerful method for noisy image segmentation.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is recognized as a main public health difficult. It is one of the major reasons of reduced function that diminishes quality of life worldwide. Osteoarthritis is a very common disorder affecting the joint cartilage. As there is no cure for osteoarthritis, treatments currently focus on management of symptoms. Pain relief, improved joint function, and joint stability are the main goals of therapy. The muscle weakness and muscle atrophy contribute to the disease process. So, rehabilitation and physiotherapy were often prescribed with the intention to alleviate pain and increase mobility. Medical therapy provides modest benefits in pain reduction and functional improvement; however, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory dru
