Influence of Design Efficiency of Water Supply Network Inside Building on its Optimum Usage: Review
...Show More Authors

The water supply network inside the building is of high importance due to direct contact with the user that must be optimally designed to meet the water needs of users.  This work aims to review previous research and scientific theories that deal with the design of water networks inside buildings, from calculating the amount of consumption and the optimal distribution of the network, as well as ways to rationalize the use of water by the consumer.  The process of pumping domestic water starts from water treatment plants to be fed to the public distribution networks, then reaching a distribution network inside the building till it is  provided to the user.  The design of the water supply network inside the building is mainly affected by the amount of water consumed in the building. On this basis, the pipes' dimensions and the water tank's volume are determined. The operating pressure of the water supply network inside the building is calculated to overcome the height difference and the friction inside the pipes and provide sufficient pressure to operate the most remote fixture.  The most important results of the research are that the optimal use of the water distribution network inside the buildings is achieved by the correct design and implementation using skilled labor, materials, and devices of high quality and rationalization of water consumption by the user.

The influence of cavity design for cusp coverage on fracture strength of weakened maxillary first premolars using two esthetic restorative systems (CAD/CAM hybrid ceramic and nanohybrid composite) (An in vitro study)
...Show More Authors

Background: Maxillary first premolar with wide MOD cavity more susceptible to fracture. The aim of this study was to assess the influence of cavity design for cusp coverage on the fracture resistance of weakened maxillary first premolar restored with CAD/CAM hybrid ceramic versus nanohybide composite. Materials and Methods: Fifty six intact maxillary first premolars of approximately comparable sizes were divided into seven groups eight for each: Group A: Intact teeth (control group); Group B: teeth prepared for MOD inlay; Group C: teeth prepared for MOD onlay covering the lingual cusp; Group D: teeth prepared for MOD covering buccal and lingual cusps ,the previous three groups indirectly restored with nanohybrid composite (3M ESPE Z 250 X

Virtual Reality Technology and its Uses in Industrial Product Design: فلاح حسن هادي -صلاح نوري محمود
...Show More Authors

The research (Virtual Reality Technology and its Uses in Industrial Product Design) is interested in the virtual reality technology used in the industrial product design and consequently knowing the functions achieved in the industrial product according to the data of that technology which participates in activating the mental and imaginary image of the user which show the parameters of the technical transformation of that product. The terms used in the research have been defined to guide the reader. The second chapter, the theoretical framework consisted of three sections the first is concerned with technology in the industrial design. The second is concerned with the virtual environment and the virtual reality. The thirds chapter consi

Effect of magnetic water on strength properties of concrete
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The research’s main goal is to investigate the effects of using magnetic water in concrete mixes with regard to various mechanical properties such as compressive, flexural, and splitting tensile strength. The concrete mix investigated was designed to attain a specified cylinder compressive strength (30 MPa), with mix proportions of 1:1.8:2.68 cement to sand to crushed aggregate. The cement content was about 380 kg/m3, with a w/c ratio equal to 0.54, sand content of about 685 kg/m3, and gravel content of about 1,020 kg/m3. Magnetic water was prepared via passing ordinary water throughout a magnetic field with a magnetic intensity of 9,000 Gauss. The strength test</p> ... Show More

Determination of the Optimum formula for Composite Motor Gasoline Octane Number Blending Enhancer
...Show More Authors

To decrease the dependency of producing high octane number gasoline on the catalytic processes in petroleum refineries and to increase the gasoline pool, the effect of adding a suggested formula of composite blending octane number enhancer to motor gasoline composed of a mixture of oxygenated materials (ethanol and ether) and aromatic materials (toluene and xylene) was investigated by design of experiments made by Mini Tab 15 statistical software. The original gasoline before addition of the octane number blending enhancer has a value of (79) research octane number (RON). The design of experiments which study the optimum volumetric percentages of the four variables, ethanol, toluene, and ether and xylene materials leads

The Influence of Clay Bricks Dust Incorporation on the Self-Curing of Cement Mortar
...Show More Authors

Self- curing is the potential of lightweight aggregate to absorption great amount of water thru mixing which prominently can moves to the paste during hydration process. Self- curing empowers a water to be distributes more evenly act out the cross section. Whereas, the external curing water is only able to penetrate several millimetres into concrete with low water cement ratio. Brick dust accumulates in the demolish site creates serious environmental contamination. This study investigates the effect of brick dust recovered from construction site on the Properties of mortar cured in three curing conditions. Mortar in this study produced using BD as cement additive with (2, 4, 6, and 8) % by weight of cement. BD was used a

Efficiency of C-type natriuretic peptide on improvement of Iraqi local ram’s epididymal sperms
...Show More Authors

Background: Fertility plays great role in animal reproduction since high quality semen improves sheep industry reproduction. The current worldwide data revealed the closely related of CNP to reproductive function of rams. Aims: Evaluation the effect of CNP on cooled sperms using the traditional and molecular assays. Methods: Totally, 20 testicular samples were collected, processed to obtain the semen samples and divided into two parts; one treated with the suitable dose of CNP and the otherserved as a control. Sperm samples of both groups were cooled for 3 days and tested at 0 0h, 24h, 48h and 72h. Results: The findings revealed that the suitable dose of CNP-treated sperms was 0.0110-13. Values individual motility, live sperm

Optimization of flocculation conditions of exopolysaccharide biofloculant from Azotobacter chrococcum and its potential for river water treatment
...Show More Authors

Bacteria strain H8, which produces high amount of exopolysaccharide (EPS), was isolated from soil, and identified as strain of Azotobacter chrococcum by its biochemical /physiological characteristics, EPS was extracted, partially purified and used as bioflocculant. The biochemical analysis of the partially purified EPS revealed that it was an alginate. analysis of EPS by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) show that the -OH groups present in bioflocculant are clearly seen at 3433.06 cm-1, the peaks attributed to the -CH3 groups present at 2916.17 cm-1 , and some distinct peaks such as carboxyl group showed strong absorption bands at 1604.66 cm-1, 1411.80 cm-1 and 1303.79 cm-1 indicate the chemical structure of alginate. Influence of Sample Mixing Techniques on Engine Oil Contamination Analysis by Infrared Spectroscopy
...Show More Authors

For the most reliable and reproducible results for calibration or general testing purposes of two immiscible liquids, such as water in engine oil, good emulsification is vital. This study explores the impact of emulsion quality on the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy calibration standards for measuring water contamination in used or in-service engine oil, in an attempt to strengthen the specific guidelines of ASTM International standards for sample preparation. By using different emulsification techniques and readily available laboratory equipment, this work is an attempt to establish the ideal sample preparation technique for reliability, repeatability, and reproducibility for FT-IR analysis while still considering t
