Evaluation of the Physical and Chemical Treatment of Wastewater for the Dairy Industry
...Show More Authors

Dairy wastewater generally contains fats, lactose, whey proteins, and nutrients. Casein precipitation causes the effluent to decompose into a dark, strong-smelling sludge. Fluid waste contains soluble organic matter, suspended solids, and gaseous organic matter, which cause undesirable taste and smell, grant tone and turbidity, and advance eutrophication, which plays an essential role in increasing biological oxygen demand (BOD) in water. It also contains detergents and disinfecting agents from the rinses and washing processes, which increase the need for chemical oxygen (COD). One of the characteristics of dairy effluents is their relatively high temperature, high organic contents, and wide pH range, so the discharge of wastewater into water bodies without treatment leads to deterioration of water quality and ecological imbalance, and therefore treatment is required. To remove or reduce environmental damage. Dairy wastewater treatment includes mechanical, physical, chemical, and biological methods.

Organic treatment techniques are reasonable for treating wastewater from the dairy business because of their high biodegradability. Notwithstanding, the long-chain unsaturated fats framed during lipid hydrolysis show an inhibitory impact during anaerobic treatment. Chain block reactors (SBR) and top stream anaerobic slop cover of sludge (UASB) frameworks are the most encouraging advancements for the organic treatment of dairy wastewater. Many papers have applied high-impact exercise and technical methods to the dairy business's anaerobic wastewater treatment of dairy wastewater. However, the two techniques actually have a few disadvantages. The most vital objective of these studies is to track down savvy and naturally manageable ways to deal with and empower the reuse and management of wastewater and waste. Consequently, elective treatments to organic treatment are physical and substance techniques, for example, coagulation, retention, layer cycles, and electrolysis. This section gives a primary survey zeroing in on physical and compound treatment strategies for dairy wastewater treatment. It is under study and checked for its viability.

TREATMENT OF SYMPTOMATIC CERVICAL ECTOPY USING CO2 LASER (10600 nm) – Case Study
...Show More Authors

Background: Cervical ectopy advanced to erosion is one of the common conditions in gynecological and pathological study. It is considered as a physiologic condition resulting from columnar epithelium migration from the cervical canal into the vaginal portion of the cervix, in which no treatment for asymptomatic cervical ectropion can be given. Treatment can be accomplished via thermal cauterization (Electro cautery), Cryosurgery. CO2 laser therapy is another modality of treatment.

Objective: To study the effectiveness of CO2 laser therapy and evaluate it as a biomedical tool for the treatment of cervical ectropion. The study was done at Laser Medicine Research Clinic at the

Estimation of Quercetin Treatment Effects in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Induced Rats
...Show More Authors

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), also known as a common polygenic endocrine condition, affects the ovaries and results in infertility and abortion. Dyslipidemia, Diabetes, hypertension, endometrial cancer, and other illnesses may all be made more likely by PCOS. Various drugs are used to treat PCOS, but they have several drawbacks and cannot effectively cure the condition. Therefore, and due to its strong antioxidant activity, anti-obesity, anti-inflammation, and other actions, the flavonoid quercetin has been proven to have health-promoting properties. The purpose of the study was to assess quercetin's impact activity in the treatment of PCOS - induced rats. A PCOS rat model was developed using testosterone.  Female albino Wistar

Detection of Antibiotics in Drinking Water Treatment Plants in Baghdad City, Iraq
...Show More Authors

Persistence of antibiotics in the aquatic environment has raised concerns regarding their potential influence on potable water quality and human health. This study analyzes the presence of antibiotics in potable water from two treatment plants in Baghdad City. The collected samples were separated using a solid-phase extraction method with hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) cartridge before being analyzed. The detected antibiotics in the raw and finished drinking water were analyzed and assessed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), with fluorometric detector and UV detector. The results confirmed that different antibiotics including fluoroquinolones andB-lactams were detected in the raw an

The use of the methods of the lower squares and the smaller squares weighted in the estimation of the parameters and design of the sample acceptance schemesFor general exponential distribution
...Show More Authors

The acceptance sampling plans for generalized exponential distribution, when life time experiment is truncated at a pre-determined time are provided in this article. The two parameters (α, λ), (Scale parameters and Shape parameters) are estimated by LSE, WLSE and the Best Estimator’s for various samples sizes are used to find the ratio of true mean time to a pre-determined, and are used to find the smallest possible sample size required to ensure the producer’s risks, with a pre-fixed probability (1 - P*). The result of estimations and of sampling plans is provided in tables.

Key words: Generalized Exponential Distribution, Acceptance Sampling Plan, and Consumer’s and Producer Risks

This study examines the position of comparative legislation (French legislation, English legislation, and Egyptian legislation) in addressing the regulation of personal civil liability (based on fault) for the government. About the damages caused by demonstrations in terms of their legal nature, their legal basis, and the pillars and conditions of that responsibility. Then, we explain the position of the Iraqi legislator and compare it with what is the case in the legislation mentioned above

The Prognostic Value for Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase-2 and Fatty Acid-Binding Protein-1 as Biomarkers for Chronic Kidney Disease
...Show More Authors

Globally, chronic kidney disease (CKD) has emerged as a significant public health concern, characterized by high rates of morbidity and mortality. To assess the risk of kidney damage, researchers have identified tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2) and fatty acid-binding protein-1 (FABP-1) as valuable biomarkers. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of specific biomarkers in assessing CKD and its associated mechanisms in Iraqi patients. The study was conducted from December 2023 to May 2024. Ninety subjects, aged 48–65 years; including 60 patients with CKD (38 male and 22 female) attended the Baghdad Teaching Hospital/ Medical City/ Dialysis Unit- Baghdad, Iraq. In addition, 30 healthy people (15 male an
