THE SPOTTED SANDGROUSE, PTEROCLES SENEGALLUS (LINNAEUS, 1771) AS A NEW HOST FOR THE SPIRURID NEMATODE HARTERTIA GALLINARUM (THEILER, 1919) IN IRAQ
...Show More Authors

In this work, the spirurid nematode Hartertia gallinarum was reported in the intestine of the spotted sandgrouse, Pterocles senegallus, collected in three different locations: Ga'ara Depression, Iraqi Western Desert, Zurbatiyah and Al-Attariyah, Middle of Iraq. Description and measurements of the nematode were given. The role of termites in the infection of P. senegallus with H. gallinarum was discussed. Occurrence of H. gallinarum in P. senegallus represents a new host record.

Exact solutions for MHD flow of a viscoelastic fluid with the fractional Burgers’ model in an annular pipe
...Show More Authors

This paper presents an analytical study for the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of a generalized Burgers’ fluid in an annular pipe. Closed from solutions for velocity is obtained by using finite Hankel transform and discrete Laplace transform of the sequential fractional derivatives. Finally, the figures are plotted to show the effects of different parameters on the velocity profile.

A dynamic model and an experimental study for the internal air and soil temperatures in an innovative greenhouse
...Show More Authors

An innovative greenhouse which integrates a conventional greenhouse with roof mounted solar air heaters is used in this investigation. This design reduces the solar radiation incoming to the greenhouse in summer which reduced the load and cost of greenhouse cooling and provides a means of solar heating. Experimental measurements of the internal air and internal soil sub-layer temperatures in the greenhouse, without crops, were performed in Baghdad University, Baghdad, Iraq (33.3 °N, 44.4 °E). Measurements were recorded for clear and partly cloudy winter days. A dynamic model was developed to predict the all internal temperatures of the greenhouse. This model includes soil surface heat exchange with the greenhouse air which was found to gi

Vitamin D3 Deficiency is a risk Factor for the Low Ferritin in Iraqi Alzheimer's type-2- Diabetic Patients
...Show More Authors

Alzheimer's disease and Type-2- Diabetes Mellitus are prevalent chronic diseases linked by likely a bi-directional relationship, this relationship is partially understood. the aim of the present study is highlighting the biochemical relationship between the two complicated diseases in the term of biochemical parameters vitamin D3, Calcium, Ferritin and iron. Thirty (30) patients suffers from both Alzheimer's and type-2-diabetes participated in the present study, the study design involved two groups : the patients group included Alzheimer's type-2-diabetic patients with the age ranged between (48-55) years and termed as (G) , this group compared with healthy subjects as a control group ( C ) which composed of thirty subjects matched

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, inflammatory demyelinating disease of central nervous system with complex etiopathogenesis that impacts young adults (Lee et al., 2015), and MS impacts younger and middle aged character and leads to a range of disabilities that can alter their daily routines (Yara et al, 2010). Although, the exact cause of MS is still undetermined, the disease is mediated by adaptive immunity through the infiltration of T cells into the central nervous system (Bjelobaba et al, 2017). MS causes the Focal neurological symptomsand biochemical changes in the molecular level and the variation of neural cells such as loss or alteration of sensation, motor function, visible signs such as blurred vision or transient blindness,
