In study carried out in the cold storage in college of Agric./Univ. of Baghdad at 8 ? C. shows that Alternaria , Pencillium , Rhizoctonia , Mucor , are the fungi that causes tomato fruits decay. This is the first record of Rhizoctonia and Mucor as a Tomato fruits rot under 8º c in Iraq. There is no fungal infection on cucumber fruits under 8 ? C. . Waxing tomato fruits reduced the severity of the fungi infection and gave shelflife (19 days) under 8 ? C. There is an infection with Mucor was found in tomato fruits kept in perforated polyethylene bages with 16 bores prevent the infection and the lowest severity and frequency of infection was found in waxed tomato fruits. The current research tackles the self-efficacy and its relation to the cognitive assessment for the daily disturbances for the University of Baghdad students. Two criteria have been adopted to achieve the objectives of the research. The sample of this study consists of 200 male and female students who were chosen randomly. The data were analyzed statistically, revealing that the university students owned their own self-efficacy as well as a cognitive assessment for the daily disturbances and they recognized them as self-threatening. A Schiff base ligand 1,2-[Bis-(1-phenyl-2-hydroxy-2-phenyl)-amino] benzene [H2L] and its complexes with (Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II)) ions are reported. The ligand was prepared by condensation reaction of ortho-phenylenediamine in methanol under reflux with benzoin to give the mentioned ligand. Then the complexes were synthesized by adding corresponding metal salts to the solution of the ligand in methanol under reflux with 1:1 metal to ligand ratio. On the basis of molar conductance I.R., U.V-Vis, HPLC, chloride content and atomic absorption the complexes may be formulated as K2[M(L)Cl2][MII = Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg]. The data of these measurements suggest a tetrahedral geometry to complexes Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg.
 

The study aimed to investigate the effect of different times as follows 0.5, 1.00, 2.00 and 3.00 hrs, type of solvent (acetone, methanol and ethanol) and temperature (~ 25 and 50)ºc on curcumin percentage yield from turmeric rhizomes. The results showed significant differences (p? 0.05) in all variables. The curcumin content which were determined spectrophotometrically ranged between (0.55-2.90) %. The maximum yield was obtained when temperature, time and solvent were 50ºC, 3 hrs and acetone, respectively.

Microwave heating is caused by the ability of the materials to absorb microwave energy and convert it to heat. The aim of this study is to know the difference that will occur when heat treating the high strength aluminum alloys AA7075-T73 in a microwave furnace within different mediums (dry and acidic solution) at different times (30 and 60) minutes, on mechanical properties and fatigue life. This study was carried out in the bee laboratory in the Faculty of Agriculture –University of Kufa in September 2021 to evaluate some protein sources and hive products against the oriental hornet Vespa orientalis Linnaeus 1771 (Hymenoptera: Vespidae). The food sources included: beef meat, gut fish, beef lung, honeybee, wax, propolis, pollen, bee worker, and water, in addition to control which was an empty petri dish. The number of visits and their duration were calculated. The results showed that the wasps preferred bee honey and wax significantly higher than the rest of the stimuli.

In this paper, quantified study of the biofilm formed by Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from urine specimen of patient suffering from acute urinary tract infection (UTI) on catheter, stainless-steel and glass coupon surfaces, as well as determine the relationship between time contact and biofilm progression using crystal-violet binding assay based on the values of optical density at 620nm of the crystal violet stain which bonded total biofilm biomass by resolubizing with 99.9% ethanol at the specific interval times.
