Two dwarf snakes were discovered, Eirenis thospitis Schmidtler & Lanza from Sereen mountain, north east of Arbil  and E. rothii Jan from Saffin mountain North of Arbil  city  North of Iraqi Kurdistan. Supported by description and important notes on variation. In addition summarized list for 9 species of the genus Eirenis Jan in Iraq is also presented.

Background The study covered thirty-three species which grown wildly in Iraq and a comparative study for all kinds of morphological characters were done. Principal Findings The most stable and important taxonomic characters were pointed out, diagrams, illustrations, scheduals, micrographs were also documented. Stamens, nutlets, basal leaves, bracts, bracteoles, calyces, corollas and their trichomes were very important taxanomic characters. The trichomes were variable in variable species therefore used as a diagnostic characters for the species. The current study included, studying the ability of eight genera of plants belong to Brassicaceae family, Brassica tournifortii, Cakile Arabica, Capsella bursa – pastoris,Carrichtera annua, Diplotaxis acris, Diplotaxis haru , Eruca sativa and Erucaria hispanica to accumulate ten heavy metals Cadmium, Chromium , Copper, Mercury, Manganese ,Nickel ,Lead ,and Zinc . n this work, a series of new nucleoside analogues (β-glucose liked to pyrazoline moiety) was synthesized. In the beginning, chalcone [1-3] was formed from the reaction of acetophenone and benzaldehyde derivatives in the presence of sodium hydroxide. Pyrazolines [4-6] were obtained from the reaction of the prepared chalcones and hydrazine hydrate in the presence of ethanol absolute. These pyrazolines were treated with β-glucose pentaacetate to afford a series of desirable protected nucleoside analogues [8-10]. After that hydrolysis of protected nuclioside analogues in sodium methoxide gave free nucleoside analogues [11-13]. These new formed compounds were diagnosed by 13C-NMR and 1H- NMR for some of them and FT-IR spectroscopy.
