A groundwater quality assessment has been carried out in northeast part of Anbar governorate in western Iraq. We analyzed hydrochemical parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids presence of ions to describe groundwater quality. The study area has the only confined aquifer within the geological formation extended in area. Two years field experiment was carried out at Agricultural Fields, College of Agriculture, Baghdad University, Al-Jadriya during 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 to determine the effect of salinity of irrigation water on growth and grain yield of three oat cultivars. The experiments were laid out according to randomized complete blocks design having split plot arrangements with two factors; first factor included three oat cultivars (Shifaa, Hamel and Pimula) while the second factor included three levels of salinity of irrigation water (3, 6 and 9 dS.m-1 ) in addition to the control (river water with salinity level of 1.164 dS.m-1 ) with three replicates. A biological experiment was conducted in the field of Biology Department-College of Education (Ibn Al-Haitham) University of Baghdad for growing season of (2004-2005), to study the effect of two varieties of the fenugreek plant (Trigonella foenum – graeccum L.) and gibberellic acid concentration (0, 25, 50, 100, 125) part per million and duration of four spraying (15, 20, 25, 30) day determining concentration medicinal active saponine compounds like (Trigonelline, choline, Carpaine and Gentianine).  The experiment was performed according to complete Randomize Complete Blocks Design (RBCD) by three replicate was adopted, means were compared by using the least significant difference at (0.05) probability level.
