The granitoid bodies in the Shalair Valley are structurally located within so-called Iraqi Zagros Suture Zone, in the northeastern Iraq. One hundred and sixty-two representative samples were collected from five granitoid intrusive bodies in the valley: Aulan and Siristan in the northern part, Mishao and Laladar in the southern part and Demamna in the western part. Two major types of granitoids in the eastern and western part of the Shalair Valley area were indentified.      This study aims to simulate water seepage and identify areas of weakness in the foundations through the right and left sides of the proposed Makhool dam in northern Iraq, using the finite element method by advanced computer software (SEEP/ W, 2012). The earth fill dam is 3670 m long on the Tigris River. Many attempts were made to ascertain the program results on the supposed earth dam and compare the results with those of other analytical methods to verify the program. Human cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is caused by Leishmania sp. parasite and endemic in Iraq. The current study was including analysis of available database from Iraqi CDC to determine the distribution of CL cases for the period (2008-2015 years) in Iraq. Total reported cases for this period were 17001 (range 2.9-10.5 per 100,000 individuals). Highest reported cases were recorded in the year 2015 (4000 cases). Male infections cases of CL (50.8%) were more than female infections (49.2%).
