In the present study, histological study was carried out on adult chickens to shed light on the effects of GH and IGF-1 on the heart, liver, and gizzard. The microscopic examination had shown that GH and IGF1 promote protein synthesis in the heart tissue. The herein work referred to the presence of a considerable amount of adipose tissue among the bundles of cardiac muscles, which is related to the metabolic process. In this investigation, time average local gas holdup was recorded for three different height to diameter (H/D) ratios 3, 4 and 5 in 18" diameter slurry bubble column. Air-water-glass beads system was used with superficial velocity up to 0.24 m/s. the gas holdup was measured using 4-tips optical fiber probe technique. Oil recovery could be impacted by the relation between vertical permeability (K_v) and horizontal permeability (K_h) (K_v/K_h). 4816 plugs that have been getting hold of 18 wells of Mishrif formation in the West Qurna oilfield were used. K_v/K_h data provided some scatter, but the mean is ~1. K_v/K_h =1 was used for the Petrel model before upscaling according to the heterogeneity of each layer.
