Samples of marsh frog included 148 sexually mature males were collected in Baghdad
from December 1992 to December 1993 to December 1993. The testis weight was expressed
as percentage of the body weight. The percent mean weights of testis were at their minimal
weight (0.255%) during April (spawning period).
Testis weight has increased until reached its greatest average weight in August (0.785%).
During the winter there is a slight decrease in weight with a more obvious fall at the spawning
months. From the results obtained from the present work on Rana ridibunda and from the
observations on annual cycle in testis weight of some temperate zone anurans we notice that
testes tend to be lowest after spawning and the testis cycle seems to be correlated with
geographic range of distribution.

The study was conducted in the Tigris River in Baghdad during May 2021 until March 2022 to follow the impact of climate change, rising temperatures, and the presence of pollutants on the dynamics of phytoplankton and some physicochemical variables from four sites. Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease highly prevalent worldwide. Recent studies have suggested a role for microbiome-associated gut–lung axis in asthma development. In the current study, we investigated if Resveratrol (RES), a plant-based polyphenol, can attenuate ovalbumin (OVA)-induced murine allergic asthma, and if so, the role of microbiome in the gut–lung axis in this process. The Specific activity of extracellular superoxide dismutase (EC-SOD) was measured in healthy persons and in patients with benign and malignant brain tumors. The study aimed to introduce the effect of Giardia lamblia infection on changes in
some biochemical parameters in serum of infected patients before and after treatment during a
period of one year, (from Feb, 2008 to Jan, 2009).
Samples of 50 infected patients who referred to Al-Kadimiyah Teaching Hospital,
were collected before and after 7 days of treatment.
The activity of liver enzymes (Gpt and Got) before treatment increased significantly as
it reached up to (8.47) u/L and 19.06 u/L, comparing with control values (6.455) u/L and
(8.39) u/L respectively. The activity of the enzymes decreased after treatment but the values
