Many people take protein supplements in an effort to gain muscle. However, there is some controversy as to whether this is really effective. There is evidence suggesting that consuming high level s of protein may in fact have negative side effects for health. The current study included 29 young Iraqi building muscles in two different groups (taken and not protein supplements) (age range=17-31 years), the cases were selected from family, friends, college students, and Gyms), from November 2014 to March 2015. A careful history was obtained from each volunteer including age, duration of sports, type of supplements, and family history of diseases. Some biochemical parameters like (glucose, urea, uric acid, creatinine, bilirubin, serum protein, serum albumin, triglyceride and alanine aminotransferase (ALT), as well as thyroid hormones (TSH, T3, and T4)) were estimated in the sera of the groups under study. The results indicated non- significant differences in the studied parameters in both groups (taken and not protein supplements), and significant differences in the body mass of young men building muscles that taken protein supplements from different origins (USA, Malaysia, Swiss, UK) when compared with the group that not taken any supplements.

In the present study, the effects of brake pad particles of lung and liver histological sections were evaluated for (60) adult male mice. The animals were divided into three groups ( A,B,C) according to the periods of exposure (4, 8, and 12) weeks respectively exposed to brake pad particles in addition to the control groups (F) exposed to fresh air only. A special inhalation chamber designed locally has been used to expose the animals. The exposure to brake pad particles was (2.228) µg/m³ for 30 min/day, 5 days/week for (4,8and12) weeks respectively.

The current study aims to investigate the second cycle students’ motives for using electronic games in Oman. The sample consisted of (570) students, (346 males and 224 females). The participants completed an open-ended question which was analyzed based on ground theory. The results showed that (46.820%) of the males and (77.678) of the females played electronic games for pleasure, entertainment, and fun. Samples were collected from various local Iraqi markets with different origins (Iraq, India, America, and Thailand). Our findings found that the results of uranium concentration in all studied samples are ranging from (0.55 ± 0.28 to 1.74 ± 0.31) ppm with a weighted average of (1.24 ± 0.99) ppm. This study aimed to stand on genetic effects important of cabergoline drug. This toxic effect was evaluated for three different doses (0.05, 0.1, 0.5 mg/ml) in comparison with control (PBS/ phosphate buffer saline) both in vivo and in vitro. In vivo study involved the cytogenetic evaluation of cabergoline in mice by examination of mitotic index percentage (MI), micronucleus formation (MN) and chromosomal aberrations.
