The leaf miners Pegoinya terbrans (Rondani) and P. bicolor (Wiedemann) (Diptera; Anthomyiidae) were newly recorded in Iraq. It was found that Cirsixim syriaca and Silybum marianum were more susceptible to P. terbrans than the other ones.
