The anatomic characteristics of the leaves of 22 taxa of Stachys L. representing seven of the currently recognized sections distributed in northern Iraq, were examined. This tablet dated to the second year of Ibbī-Suen’s reign (2028-2004 BC), the last king of the third Dynasty of Ur. The Iraq Museum number (IM 212985), its measurements (14.4× 8.5× 4 cm.) and is currently preserved in the Iraq Museum - Baghdad. It is a part of hundreds of confiscated cuneiform tablets, which were returned to Iraq from Jordan - Amman in 2008.
