Background: Low hemoglobin levels and lead exposure remain significant health issues in many parts of the world, often occurring together, however most of the researches concentrate on the effect of high levels of lead .This study aimed to demonstrate the effect of blood lead level on hemoglobin and packed cell volume (PCV).
Patients and Methods: Fifty eight adult volunteers were enrolled in this study with age range between 23 and 55 years, working in the different departments in medical college of Baghdad University. In this paper a prey - predator model with harvesting on predator species with infectious disease in prey population only has been proposed and analyzed. Further, in this model, Holling type-IV functional response for the predation of susceptible prey and Lotka-Volterra functional response for the predation of infected prey as well as linear incidence rate for describing the transition of disease are used. Our aim is to study the effect of harvesting and disease on the dynamics of this model.

Background: Cholestatic Jaundice is a dilemma facing not only the primary care provider but also the specialist pediatricians in our country.
Subjects & methods: Analysis of 50 cases of cholestatic jaundice aged 3 weeks- 18 months were carried out over 18 months in the Gastroenterology & Hepatology unit in the Children Welfare Teaching Hospital, Medical City, and Baghdad. Clinical, biochemical, radiological and histopathological results were recorded.
