The monogenean Gyrodactylus taimeni Ergens, 1971 was recorded in this study for the first time in Iraq from gills of the common carp Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758. Methodology: A case control study on 595 charts, 119 cases and 476 controls was conducted in Mizan
