Re-evaluation of lunation of the activity of somantibacterial drugs against clinical isolates of Escherichia coli in al- najaf al- ashref governorate
...Show More Authors

ackground: Escherichia coli is one of the most
important bacterial pathogen that can cause several
disease to human being . In our study we try to
investigate the sensitivity resistance pattern of
Escherichia coli against three antibiotics ( Amikacin,
Nalidixic acid and Cephalexin).
Methods: For this purpose we collected 51 clinical
isolates of Escherichia coli from stool and urine of
outpatient and inpatient patients from different wards
of AL-SADER Teaching Hospital in AL-NAJAF
AL-ASHRAf, IRAQ, and tested by culture and
sensitivity test .
Results: The results appeared that Amikacin show
the highest percentage of sensitivity ( 66.66 % ) ,
while Cephalexin show the lowest percentage of
sensitivity ( 6.34 % ) .
Conclusions: we conclude that Amikacin is the most
sensitive antibacterial drug for Escherichia Coli as
compared with Nalidixic acid and Cephalexin, while
Cephalexin is the most resistant antibacterial drug
for Escherichia Coli as compared with Amikacin and
Nalidixic acid.

POLITICAL TRENDS OF CARICATURE: (in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper)
...Show More Authors

The importance of studying the political trends of caricature in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper comes from the importance of this magical and satirical journalistic art, as it addresses various trends with satirical criticism that exposes the negative sides and affects the reader’s consciousness in a way or another by contributing to the public opinion about these issues and topics that affect people's lives and their future. Therefore, this art is no less important than the other arts, on the contrary, it complements the other arts and also contributes to the importance of Journalism. Also, the choice of Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Newspaper as being one of the most widely circulated and prominent Arab newspapers, t

Biofilm formation and antibiotic susceptibility for clinical and environmental isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa
...Show More Authors

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is emerging opportunistic clinical pathogens. Clinical isolates of P. aeruginosaresist wide spectrum of antibiotics and form biofilm. The comparison study between clinical and environmental of P. aeruginosa in terms of biofilm formation and antibiotic resistance is very scanty. Thus, in current study microtiter plate technique was used to measure the biofilm formation by several clinical and environmental isolates. Moreover, the antibiotic susceptibility of these bacteria was evaluated by VITIK 2 techniques. The relationship between the antibiotic susceptibility and biofilm formation was evaluated for clinical and environmental isolates. Clinical and environm

Isolation and Identification of Multidrug Resistance Among Clinical and Environmental Pseudomonas aeruginosa Isolates
...Show More Authors

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most common opportunistic pathogen causing morbidity and mortality in hospitalized patients due to its multiple resistance mechanisms. Therefore, as a therapeutic option becomes restricted, the search for a new agent is a preference. So P. aeruginosa is an extremely versatile Gram-negative bacterium capable of thriving in a broad spectrum of environments, and this performs main problems to workers in the field of health. One hundred and fifty samples were collected from different sources from Baghdad hospitals, divided into two main groups: clinical (100) specimens and (50) samples as an environmental, collected from October 2019 to the March 2020. All of these samples were cultured by specific and differential

Prevalence of β-lactam Resistant Klebsiella Pneumoniae Isolates among Clinical Specimensin Baghdad Hospitals
...Show More Authors

One hundred forty three of Klebsiellapneumoniae isolates had been collected from some hospitals in Baghdad city. The isolates were taken from different clinical specimens.Antimicrobial susceptibility test was carried out towards fifteen antimicrobial agents by using Vitek2 system with Antimicrobial susceptibility test cards. The results of antibiogram showed that the local isolates were possess highly resistance towards most antimicrobial agents under study. The high resistance wastoAmpicillin while the low resistance was to Imipenem. Two methods were used for detection of Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamases (ESBLs) production; first methods by using of Vitek2 system, thesecondmethods by using of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique to dis

Isolation, optimization, and redesigning of phages of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus from clinical hospital isolates in Baghdad
...Show More Authors

Background: A global health concern is methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The use of bacteriophages is one of the many novel control strategies against MRSA that are frequently sought. However, it is quite challenging to isolate enough lytic anti-MRSA phages. In order to extract, optimize, and remodel anti-MRSA phages, this study sought novel approaches.

Methods: Two ATCC MRSA strains and nine clinical MRSA isolates were used to isolate wild anti-MRSA phages from hospital settings, dirt, and sewage. The wild phages were optimized using plaque-based biokinetic techniques. Usi

Abstract
One of the main element in the network is the intersection which consider as the critical points because there are many conflict in this element. The capability and quality of operation of an intersection was assessed to provide a better understanding of the network's traffic efficiency. In Baghdad city, the capital of/Iraq the majority of the intersections are operated under the congestion status and with level of service F, therefore theses intersection are consider as high spot point of delay in the network of Baghdad city. In this study we selected Al-Ameria signalized intersection as a case study to represent the delay problem in the intersections in Baghdad. The intersection is located in the w
... Show More

Mineralogical, geochemical, and geotechnical evaluation of Al-Sowera soil for the building brick industry in Iraq
...Show More Authors

The raw material soil of Al-Sowera factory quarry (quarry soil and mixture) used for building brick industry was tested mineralogically, geochemically and geotechnically. Mineral components of soil are characterized by Clay minerals (Palygoriskite and chlorite) and nonclay minerals like calcite, quratz, feldspar, gypsum and halite. The raw material is deficient in SiO2, Al2O3, K2O, Fe2O3 and MgO, while enriched in CaO. Loss on ignition and Na2O are in suitable level and appear to be concordant with the standard. Grain size analyses show that the decreasing sand and clay, and increasing silt ratio in both quarry soil and mixture caused decreasing in strength of brick during molding and after firing. The quarry soil is characterized by high p
