The Role of Strain Elastography in Evaluating Borderline Axillary Lymph nodes
...Show More Authors

Background: Axillary lymph node (ALN) enlargement with diffuse cortical thickening and conserved echogenic hilum may represent a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Sonographic strain elastography may help the characterization of borderline ALN.

Aim: To evaluate the strain elastography of borderline ALN and to calculate a cutoff value of strain ratio (SR) that can identify suspicious ALN with the highest sensitivity and specificity to reduce unnecessary invasive procedures.

Subjects and Methods: A prospective study included 45 patients who attended the Breast clinic in Oncology Teaching Hospital with borderline axillary lymphadenopathy (intact hilum and diffusely thickened cortex more than 3mm) who had normal ipsilateral breast, suspicious ipsilateral breast lesion, or who had ipsilateral mastectomy. B-mode sonography and elastography were performed for all participants. Four-point elasticity score (ES), and SR were obtained for the targeted lymph node followed by ultrasound-guided fine need aspirate (FNA) biopsy..

Results: Malignant ALN constituted 20% of the cohort. B mode measurements were not able to differentiate between cytologically confirmed benign and malignant ALN in terms of axis ratio (mean ± standard deviation, 0.46 ± 0.08 vs 0.50 ± 0.12) and cortical thickness (4.88 ± 1.93 vs 6.27 ± 2.46). The mean SR of all samples was 2.66 ± 2.25.  Metastatic ALN depicted significantly higher SR (P<0.0001), with 88.9% exhibiting ES score 3 and 4. None of the metastatic ALN had ES score 1. ROC curve was used to investigate the utility of SR as a diagnostic tool. The area under the curve (AUC) was 0.906 with a 95% CI of 0.814-0.997, P<0.001. SR cutoff of 2.1 was chosen with 100% sensitivity and 66.7% specificity.

Conclusion: High proportion of borderline ALNs are not malignant. Strain elasticity can improve the risk stratification of such cases and prevent unnecessary invasive procedures. We suggested an algorithm that could better tackle borderline ALN which will need further evaluation

Porous Silicon effect on the performance of CdS nanoparticles photodetector
...Show More Authors

Cadmium sulfide photodetector was fabricated. The CdS nano
powder has been prepared by a chemical method and deposited as a
thin film on both silicon and porous p- type silicon substrates by spin
coating technique. Structural, morphological, optical and electrical
properties of the prepared CdS nano powder are studied. The X-ray
analysis shows that the obtained powder is CdS with predominantly
hexagonal phase. The Hall measurements show that the nano powder
is n-type with carrier concentration of about (-5.4×1010) cm-3. The
response time of fabricated detector was measured by illuminating
the sample with visible radiation and its value was 5.25 msec. The
specific detectivity of the fabricated det

The Ability of Froth Formed without Chemicals to Hold Bacteria
...Show More Authors

Abstract. Froth flotation is a solid-liquid separation technique that uses hydrophobicity as a driving force. Bacteria and other drinking water microorganisms tend to be hydrophobic and can be removed from water using this application. The biggest limitation against using froth flotation in the drinking water industry is the difficulty of producing froth without chemical frothers and holding bacteria in this froth without chemical collectors which deteriorate water taste and odor. Recently, researchers at the University of Sheffield described a method for producing froth using only water and compressed air. This has enabled froth flotation to be studied as an alternative to biocides for the removal of bacteria from drinking water. T

The rule of need relegates to necessity controls and applications

Summary
This research is included in the study of one of the most important rules of jurisprudence, which is (necessity descends the status of necessity, controls and applications) branching from the major rule (hardship brings facilitation) and since the jurisprudential rule is defined as knowledge of a total or majority rule that applies to all its parts. He has to know all the branches that fall under him, which leads to understanding Sharia, controlling jurisprudential issues and linking them to its rules, so that no contradiction occurs, and he has the jurisprudential faculty that he promotes in consideration and diligence. And what is meant by need: is what is lacking in terms of expansion and raising the distress that often lea

The Internet of Everything Based Smart Systems: Applications and Challenges
...Show More Authors

Smart systems are the trend for modern organizations and should meet the quality of services that expect to produce. Internet of Everything (IoE) helped smart systems to adopt microcontrollers for improving the performance. Analyzing and controlling data in such a system are critical issues. In this study, a survey of IoE systems conducted to show how to apply a suitable model that meets such system requirements. The analysis of some microcontroller boards is explored based on known features. Factors for applying IoE devices have been defined such as connectivity, power consumption, compatibility, and cost. Different methods have been explained as an overview of applying IoE systems. Further, different approaches for applying IoE technology

Study the Performance of Nanozeolite NaA on CO2 Gas Uptake
...Show More Authors

The adsorption isotherms and kinetic uptakes of CO2 were measured. Adsorption isotherms were measured at two temperatures 309 K and 333 K and over a pressure range of 1 to 7 bar. Experimental data of CO2 adsorption isotherms were modeled using Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin. Based on coefficient of correlation it was found that Langmuir isotherm model was well suited with the experimental data of CO2 adsorption isotherms.  In addition, Adsorption kinetic of CO2 mixture with N2 containing 10 % by volume CO2 and 90 % by volume N2 were determined in a temperature 36 °C and under the atmospheric pressure .When the flow rate was increased from
