Background: Salvia officinalis is a plant belong to
Labiatae family .The common name of Salvia is sage
which mean save. The leaves of Salvia have special
oil which is effective against filamentous fungi and
yeasts such as Candida albicans which is the
causative agent of vaginal candidiasis in women
Methods. Cultures from 50 swabs of Candida
albicans isolated from vagina of 70 patient women
who complains from vaginal problems, their ages
(24-43) years from Central City Hospital during
Febreoury 2009 to April 2009 were cultured on
Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) .Nystatin was used
as positive reference standard to determine the
sensitivity of this fungus . and less this concentration
there was no minimum inhibition for the Candida
Results: The aqueous extract of Salvia officinalis at
various concentrations inhibited the growth of C.
Albicans . This inhibitions reached to a maximum of
100% for extract at 25 mg / ml and the minimum
inhibition was 170 mm at 15 mg /ml for the extract .
While the minimum and maximum inhibition for
nystatin was at 50 μg/ml,and less concentration. There
was no minimum inhibition for the Candida
Conclutions : The findings provide support for the
use of this plant in traditional medicine for fungal
infections especially against candidiasis .
The research aims to identify the most important areas of voluntary work available to women in society, stand on the most important controls that push women to work in voluntary areas in society. The research also seeks to stand on the most prominent obstacles to the voluntary work of women in society. The research contained four main chapters: Chapter I: Definition of research, Chapter 2: Objectives, areas, controls and effects of volunteer work, Chapter 3: Voluntary Work of Women in the Celestial Religions, and lastly, Chapter 4: Theories, Constraints, and Recommendations for Voluntary Work for Women. The researcher suggested several recommendations: 1-establishing a unit responsible for planning,

These animals were randomly divided into four groups (five animals in each group). Three groups were dosed orally with the concentrations mentioned above, while the last was administered with distilled water and considered as a control group. These animals were orally dosed by aqueous extract using a micropipette for 30 days. The results showed that there was a significant (P<0.05) decrease in cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein (LDL-cholesterol), very low density lipoprotein (VLDL-cholesterol) concentrations and atherosclerosis index means for the three trea

The results of the experiments showed that the alcoholic extracts of the plant effected the growth and the development of the larvae and pupae according to the concentrations . The alcoholic extracts proved to have the highest mortality tend to 66.76 % in larva treated with alcoholic at concentration 7.5 % the

The study aimed to investigate the effect of phosphorus addition and zinc spraying on the nutrient content and root growth of the cabbage. The experiment included two factors: the first factor was phosphorus with four concentrations (P25%, P50%, P75%, and P100%) of the recommended complete fertilizer dose (135 kg P2O5 per hectare), and the second factor was zinc spraying with three concentrations (0, 30, and 60 mg.L-1) of zinc sulfate (ZnSO4). Polyethersulfone (PES) ultrafiltration membrane blending NaX zeolite crystals as a hydrophilic additive was examined for zinc (II) and lead ions Pb (II) removal from aqueous solutions. The effect of NaX zeolite content on the permeation flux and removal efficiency was studied. The results showed that adding zeolite to the polymer matrix enhanced the permeation flux. The permeation flux of all the zeolite/PES matrix membranes was higher than the pristine membrane. No significant improvement was observed in the removal of Zn (II) ions using all prepared membranes as the removal percentage did not raise above 29.2%. However, the removal percentage of Pb (II) ions was enhanced to 97% using a membrane containing 0.9%wt. zeolite. Also, it was

Furthermore, the quality of life of the participants was evaluated in order to ascertain any statistical differences in Iraq during the period spanning from 2022 to May 2024. The cases encompassed 110 patients diagnosed with acute appendicitis who received treatment across multiple hospitals in Iraq during the period spanning from 2022 to May 2024. The participants in the study ranged in age from 18 to 40 years, with a mean age of (27.15 ± 4.28) years in the control group and from 20 to 50 years in the laparoscopic appendectomy group, with a mean age of (29.28 ± 3.45) years.
