Back ground: In the present study Pinealoctomy
was used to study the sympathetic innervations of
the pineal gland by the superior cervical ganglion
(SCG) of the albino rat.
Objective: Following Pinealoctomy, it is
expected to observe the Chromatolysis reaction in
some neurons of the SCG if they were to innervate
the pineal gland (i.e. retrograde Chromatolysis
changes).
Methods: Fifty albino rats were used in this study,
Pinealoctomy was done, then after a different time
interval ganglionectomy was done, in order to
study the Chromatolysis in their cell body.
Result: The present study has demonstrated that
the most obvious Chromatolysis reaction in the
neurons which innervate the pineal gland appeared
one day following Pinealoctomy in the young and
adult rats. In the SCG of animal, one week
following Pinealoctomy,
the number of the Chromatolysis neurons was
much less than these seen in the previously
mentioned one
day animals. In (2 – 6) weeks following
Pinealoctomy, the number of the Chromatolysis
neurons kept a constant decline.
Conclusion: The work presented in this study
showed that the method of tracing the innervations
of the pineal gland by removing the target tissue
(the pineal gland in this study) appeared to be
justified and conclusive.
It has also shown that younger animals, subjected
to Pinealoctomy, would react more vigorously with
respect to Chromatolysis than adult animals. The
present study has also demonstrate that the
distribution of these Chromatolysis neurons and for
all age groups all over the ganglion being
inspected. However they were more abundant in
the rostral 2/3 of these ganglions.
Background: Relapse of previously moved teeth, is major clinical problem in orthodontics with respect to the goals of successful treatment. This study investigated the effect of orthodontic relapse on the proliferation of fibroblast and epithelial rests of Malassez cells in periodontal ligament of rat molars. Materials and Methods: Sixteen ten-week- old male Wister rats were randomly divided into four groups composed of four animals each: Group I received no orthodontic force (control). In both Group II and Group III, uniform standardized expansive springs were used for moving the maxillary first molars buccally for periods of one and three weeks respectively. The spring initially generated an average expansive force of 20 g on each side.

Bone is a highly vascularised tissue reliant on the close spatial and temporal connection between blood vessels and bone cells to maintain skeletal integrity. Angiogenesis thus plays a pivotal role in skeletal development and bone fracture repair. The role of angiogenic and osteogenic factors in the adaptive response and interaction of osteoblasts and endothelial cells during the multi step process of bone development and repair will be highlighted in this study. This study aimed to identify the role of local exogenous vascular endothelial growth factor in bone healing and to analyze the expression of VEGF by immunohistochemistry in created bone defect af

Trivalent chromium complex, chromium picolinate (CrPic), is mostly utilized to regulate glucose and raise insulin sensitivity—particularly in diabetes. The objective of this study was to assess the renoprotective effects of Chromium in mitigating nephrotoxicity induced by Methotrexate in rats. Study conducted on 32 male rats divided into 4 groups; Group I (Control group) in which rats received distilled water orally for 8 days, Group II (Induction group) which received a single intraperitoneal injection of Methotrexate (20 mg/kg) on

responsible for the development of cardiovascular dysfunctions. ET-1 exerts its vasoconstrictor activity
through two pharmacologically distinct receptors, ETA and ETB that are found in vascular smooth muscle
cells (VSMCs) and the vasodilator activity through an ETB receptor located on endothelial cells. This study
aimed to show the impact of 1µM L-arginine (LA), 100µM tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), and their combined
effect on ET-1 activity in both lead-treated and lead-untreated rat aortic rings. This means, investigating how
endothelial dysfunction reverses the role of nitric oxide precursor and cofa
Background: Cervical lymph nodes are prone to involved by a number of pathologic processes. They are common sites for lymphoma, metastasis, and reactive enlargement in a number of conditions. Aims of the study:-Clinical evaluation of patients with cervical lymphadenopathy. Differentiation between benign and malignant lymph nodes by means of ultra sounds (US) and Correlate the US findings with cytological and/or histopathological findings of cervical lymph nodes. Subjects, Materials and Methods:-The present study was carried out over a period of 6 months and included 81 patients of different age groups presenting with cervical lymphadenopathy. Each patient was examined clinically, then comprehensive sonographic examination of the neck for

A total of (32) boy and girl ranging 5 to 6 years old were selected from al-Rabeea’ kindergarten, directorate of al-karkh 2 / Baghdad. The sample divided into equal two group (16) boy and girl of each one. al-Talaqany’s (2016) visual perception skills test among kindergarteners was adopted to collect the required data. The collected data had processed based on (gender, pre-post test, and age). To achieve the objectives of the study; the researcher set up series of sessions that addressed the guided visualization strategy among kindergarteners compose

Chromium is an essential trace element mostly used to regulate glucose levels and enhance the response to insulin, especially in diabetes. Current study aimed to evaluate the cardioprotective effect of chromium picolinate against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in 28 male rats divided into four groups. Group I (Control group): received distilled water orally for 8 days. Group II (Doxorubicin group): received distilled water orally for 7 days, followed by a single doxorubicin dose (25 mg/kg) intraperitoneally. In addition to the other health-supporting reputation, coriander has hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, and aphrodisiac effects. OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of Coriandrum Sativum on process of spermatogenesis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Coriandrum sativum was given daily to mature male rats in a dose of 50mg/ 100g body weight for 14 days. 10% formalin fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections were performed for histological and morphometrical studies. RESULTS: Histological study showed wider seminiferous tubules & increased spermatocytes population with an increased sperm density
