Objectives: To report the Cesarean section rate in Al-
Batool Maternity Teaching Hospital and to identify
how many of them were done for maternal and fetal
condition.
Design: A statistical cross sectional study.
Setting: The study was conducted at Al-Batool
Maternity Teaching Hospital (13000 deliveries per
year).
Participants: The patients group consists of 4556
patients admitted for delivery (vaginal and abdominal)
during a period of four months commencing from
January 2003.
Main outcome measures: calculation of all live
births, calculation of cesarean section rate, percentage
of the primary cesarean sections and the repeat
cesarean sections and listing the indications of the
operation according to maternal and fetal condition
with their percentage.
Results: Total births during the period of this study
were 4556 births, 3732 vaginal deliveries and 824
cesarean sections. Cesarean section rate was found to
be 17.94% of total live births, the most frequent
indication for cesarean section was malpresentation
(24.3%). Primary cesarean sections contribute to 75%
of cases.
Conclusions: A primary cesarean section is one of the
most important causes of high cesarean section rate.
Decreasing the incidence of primary operations will
help in reducing cesarean section rate.
The basic objective of the research is to study the quality of the water flow service in the Directorate of Karbala sewage and how to improve it after identifying the deviations of the processes and the final product and then providing the possible solutions in addressing the causes of the deviations and the associated quality gaps. A number of quality tools were used and applied to all data Stations with areas and activities related to the drainage of rainwater, as the research community determines the stations of lifting rainwater in the Directorate of the streams of Karbala holy, and the station was chosen Western station to apply the non-random sampling method intended after meeting a number of. It is one of the largest and m

These predictions are useful in the planning, management, evaluation of the water resources in the area. Spatial data along a river system or area at different locations in a catchment area usually have missing measurements, hence an accurate prediction. model to fill these missing values is essential.
The selected sites for water quality data prediction were Sewera, Numania , Kut u/s, Kut d/s, Garaf observation sites. In these five sites models were built for prediction of the water level and water quality parameters.
Realistic implementation of nanofluids in subsurface projects including carbon geosequestration and enhanced oil recovery requires full understanding of nanoparticles (NPs) adsorption behaviour in the porous media. The physicochemical interactions between NPs and between the NP and the porous media grain surface control the adsorption behavior of NPs. This study investigates the reversible and irreversible adsorption of silica NPs onto oil-wet and water-wet carbonate surfaces at reservoir conditions. Each carbonate sample was treated with different concentrations of silica nanofluid to investigate NP adsorption in terms of nanoparticles initial size and hydrophobicity at different temperatures, and pressures. Aggregation behaviour and the

The samples taken from different depths ranged from soil surface to 60cm step 15 cm, for this measurement of uranium concentrations .The most widely used technique SSNTDs was chosen to be the measurement technique. Results showed that the higher concentrations were in Hai Al- Kafaat which recorded 1.49 ± 0.054 ppm . The uranium content in soil samples were less than permissible limit of UNSCEAR(11.7ppm).
The Target costing is an important modern techniques strategic managerial accounting.which is been shown active adoption to changes in contemporary business environments Inaddition, they had been adopted by the units as aresult of the growth in the strategic approach in the man agement..the goal of using target costing is to build and strengthen competitive abilities of economic units thvough introducing appropriate ways to decrease cost and improving quality of product The hypothesis reflects interest in achieving the goal of the research,ie.research question,The hypothesis use target costing to assist economic units to decrease cost and in the manner that leads to competitive advantages while surviving and flourishing in current busines
