Quality of Life among People Survived from Terroristic Explosions: A Retrospective Cohort Study
...Show More Authors

Background: Increasing interest in quality of life (QoL) is the new approach for understanding and improvement of health care. Although there are many studies about quality of life, there is deficiency of data about quality of life of peoples survived from terroristic explosions. Objectives: To study the QoL for peoples survived from terroristic explosions and compare it with that of a controlled people. Methods: This study was conducted between, 1st of July till 31st of December 2013. The sample of this study was collected from peoples attending the outpatient clinics in four primary health care centers, Baghdad city (2 from Rusafa and 2 from Karkh). 183 individuals proved to be exposed to terroristic explosion and 199 individual not exposed to such event were recruited and Arabic version of the World Health Organization (WHO) self-reporting questionnaire (WHO-QoL-BRIEF) was used to assess the QoL.Results: This study revealed that peoples exposed to event of terroristic explosion show a serious defect in all domains of QoL (physical, psychological, social and environmental) as compared with that for non exposed peoples to such accidents in the same areas of the study. Conclusions: This study showed that peoples survived from terroristic explosions have a low QoL indicators as compared with those not exposed to such trauma .

Approximaitly Prime Submodules and Some Related Concepts
...Show More Authors

In this research note approximately prime submodules is defined as a new generalization of prime submodules of unitary modules over a commutative ring with identity. A proper submodule  of an -module  is called an approximaitly prime submodule of  (for short app-prime submodule), if when ever , where , , implies that either  or . So, an ideal  of a ring  is called app-prime ideal of  if   is an app-prime submodule of -module . Several basic properties, characterizations and examples of approximaitly prime submodules were given. Furthermore, the definition of approximaitly prime radical of submodules of modules were introduced, and some of it is properties were established.

Fuzzy-assignment Model by Using Linguistic Variables
...Show More Authors

This work addressed the assignment problem (AP) based on fuzzy costs, where the objective, in this study, is to minimize the cost. A triangular, or trapezoidal, fuzzy numbers were assigned for each fuzzy cost. In addition, the assignment models were applied on linguistic variables which were initially converted to quantitative fuzzy data by using the Yager’sorankingi method. The paper results have showed that the quantitative date have a considerable effect when considered in fuzzy-mathematic models.

Derivative spectrophotometry is one of the analytical chemistry techniques used
in the analysis and determination of chemicals and pharmaceuticals. This method is
characterized by simplicity, sensitivity and speed. Derivative of Spectra conducted
in several ways, including optical, electronic and mathematical. This operation
usually be done within spectrophotometer. The paper is based on form of a new
program. The program construction is written in Visual Basic language within
Microsoft Excel. The program is able to transform the first, second, third and fourth
derivatives of data and the return of these derivatives to zero order (normal plot).
The program was applied on experimental (trial) and reals values of su

Introduction:
Neonatal Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) remains one of the major cause's neonatal morbidity and mortality despite advances in perinatal care especially in developed
countries.
Objectives:
The aims of this study were to find out me risk factors of mothers and newborns (NB) which increase the incidence, morbidity, and mortality of RDS.
Patients & Methods:
A prospective descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 100 live NR infants born at neonatal care units in Baghdad hospital & private nursing home (medical city
complex) / Baghdad in the period from the first of March to the end of June 2006. They were presented with RDS, which was diagnosed clinically and radio-

SDN-assisted Service Placement for the IoT-based Systems in Multiple Edge Servers Environment
...Show More Authors

Edge computing is proved to be an effective solution for the Internet of Things (IoT)-based systems. Bringing the resources closer to the end devices has improved the performance of the networks and reduced the load on the cloud. On the other hand, edge computing has some constraints related to the amount of the resources available on the edge servers, which is considered to be limited as compared with the cloud. In this paper, we propose Software-Defined Networking (SDN)-based resources allocation and service placement system in the multi-edge networks that serve multiple IoT applications. In this system, the resources of the edge servers are monitored using the proposed Edge Server Application (ESA) to determine the state of the edge s

The Climatic parameters for the years (1985-2015) were collected from Baghdad
meteorological station and then were applied to evaluate the climatic conditions for
the Al-Yusufyiah area south Baghdad. The total annual rainfall is (119.65 mm),
while the total annual evaporation is (3201.7 mm), relative humidity is (43.62%),
sunshine (8.76 h/day), temperature (23.28 C◦) and wind speed (3.06 m/sec). Climate
of the study area is described as an arid according to classification of (Kettaneh and
Gangopadhyaya, 1974), (Mather, 1973), and (Al-Kubaisi, 2004). Mean monthly
water surplus for the period (1985-2015) was recorded in the study area about (4.7
mm) in November, (11.67 mm) in December, (20.56 mm) in January and (6

La imprescindibilidad de la Exégesis en la Traducción del Texto Coránico
...Show More Authors

In the process of translating Qur’anic texts, there is an urgent need for interpretations of the Qur’anic text due to the presence of many incomprehensible Qur’anic verses or words because of our distance from the standard Arabic, language in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed, and the introduction of the foreign words into our language, in addition to the fact that many Qur’anic words are no longer used. All this prompted the need for the interpretation of the Qur'anic text, Therefore, it is necessary for the translator to resort to the books of interpretation if he intends to translate the Qur’an

The effect of thickness variation on some physical properties of hematite α-Fe2O3 thin films was investigated. An Fe2O3 bulk in the form of pellet was prepared by cold pressing of Fe2O3 powder with subsequent sintering at 800 . Thin films with various thicknesses were obtained on glass substrates by pulsed laser deposition technique. The films properties were characterized by XRD, and FT-IR. The deposited iron oxide thin films showed a single hematite phase with polycrystalline rhombohedral crystal structure .The thickness of films were estimated by using spectrometer to be (185-232) nm. Using Debye Scherrerś formula, the average grain size for the samples was found to be (18-32) nm. Atomic force microscopy indicated that the films had
