Background: Radial neck fractures in children account for 5 to 10% of all elbow fractures in children. They are extra-articular fractures of the radius proximal to the bicipital tuberosity. The physis is typically involved as a Salter-Harris I or II pattern. Alternatively, the fracture sometimes is extraphyseal, through the metaphysis. In children there is considerable potential for remodeling after these fractures. Up to 30° of radial head tilt and up to 3 mm of transverse displacement are acceptable. Many modalities of treatment are available regarding Surgical &Non-Surgical treatments. Objectives: To evaluate the functional outcome after surgical percutaneous joystick reduction therapy of severely angulated radial neck fracture in children. Type of the study: A prospective study. Methods: During the period between February/2012 and May/2015, we made a prospective study of (18) patients suffered from O′Brien type II&III radial neck fracture with severe angulation that require surgery seen at Al-Kindy Teaching Hospitals. However, we select a group of children who had more than 30° of Radial head angulation really cannot treated by conservative method. Angulated radial neck fractures in children reduced with a percutaneous Kirschner wire. We select of surgical procedure after failure of thumbing intraoperatively. The primary indication for surgery was changing type II&III to typeI which can go on in manage conservatively. Results: All the (18) patients treated with percutaneous pinning techniques were followed-up, clinically and radiographically evaluated pre-surgery, post-surgery and finally (6) months after surgery. The mean angulation of the fractures was 64° (30° - 90°) before reduction and 10°(0° - 22°) after reduction. Mean fracture displacement after reduction in all cases was less than 3 mm. Range of Motion (ROM) in flexion, extension, pronation and supination was the functional parameter in our study as graded by (the grading system of Steele). We obtained an outcome of excellent results in 15 patient (83%), good results in 3 patients (17%) and we have no fair or poor results. Conclusions Percutaneous Joystick Reduction Techniqueusing K-wire in children with radial neck fractures is a safe, short, easy procedure requires only good technical measures, minimally invasive in nature with minimal hospitalization time, has a minimal morbidity and complication rates, it is recommended surgical treatment that can achieve recovery of normal radial neck angulation, elbow motion and yielding excellent results.
Abstract
The goal of the research is to diagnose some of the negative phenomena which was discovered through the period from (2010 to 2014) as determined by the national strategy to eliminate the corruption which was set out by the joint council of the corruption elimination in Iraq. And to measure the gap in applying the legal rules by the administration, concerning the misconducts and felonies upon the state employments made by the state employee and how far they are applied in the studied sample and to show the nature of the rules and their importance and their role when they are applied in scientific and expertise manner. And to encourage the offices of the general supervisors to adhere to them which will lead t

Show MoreThis paper aims to find new analytical closed-forms to the solutions of the nonhomogeneous functional differential equations of the nth order with finite and constants delays and various initial delay conditions in terms of elementary functions using Laplace transform method. As well as, the definition of dynamical systems for ordinary differential equations is used to introduce the definition of dynamical systems for delay differential equations which contain multiple delays with a discussion of their dynamical properties: The exponential stability and strong stability
The growth curves of the children are the most commonly used tools to assess the general welfare of society. Particularity child being one of the pillars to develop society; through these tools, we can path a child's growth physiology. The Centile line is of the important tools to build these curves, which give an accurate interpretation of the information society, also respond with illustration variable age. To build standard growth curves for BMI, we use BMI as an index. LMSP method used for finding the Centile line which depends on four curves represents Median, Coefficient of Variation, Skews, and Kurtosis. These can be obtained by modeling four parameters as nonparametric Smoothing functions for the illustration variable. Ma

The results have been showed that the percentage of essential compounds which represented with moisture, protein, fat, carbohydrate, ash and calories as 7.09%,0.01%,0.01%,92,81%, 0.08% and 371,37 Kal./100g, respectively of dry weight. Also the results have been showed that the percentage of chamomile plant extract that added to the tea as 5.74%. And the result of chemical test for effective materials in alcoholic extract showed consist Tannis, Glycosides, Flavonoids, Alkialoids, and Resins.
