Cadmium oxide CdO thin films were prepared by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) technique at varying number of dippings. The CdO thin films were prepared from a source material of Cadmium acetate and ammonium hydroxide solution deposited on glass substrate at 95℃.    The prepared thin films were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), and UV-Visible spectrometry. The archeological subsurface features were investigated with this method in most cases with the assistance of other methods such as GPR method. Eleven 2D ERI profiles were carried out to investigate the subsurface archeological features in the Kish site in the Babylon area. The 2D electrical resistivity survey was achieved with ABEM Terrameter-LS2 Device and 30 electrodes with 1-meter spacing between the adjacent electrodes along each profile. A batch and flow injection (FI) spectrophotometric methods are described for the determination of barbituric acid in aqueous and urine samples. The method is based on the oxidative coupling reaction of barbituric acid with 4-aminoantipyrine and potassium iodate to form purple water soluble stable product at λ 510 nm. Good linearity for both methods was obtained ranging from 2 to 60 μg mL−1, 5–100 μg mL−1 for batch and FI techniques, respectively. The limit of detection (signal/noise = 3) of 0.45 μg mL−1 for batch method and 0.48 μg mL−1 for FI analysis was obtained. The present study was carried out in the nursery at Al – Dora (Baghdad). During spring 2015 under green hous conditions. The aim was to evaluate the effect of different concentration (0, 1.25 and 2.5) g./l of aqueous Ajwa date fruit extract on different cutting position (basal, sub terminal and terminal) for different dipping times (24, 48) hours, on cassia stem cuttings. After 2 months of planting the results showed that the 2.5 gm. /l of Ajwa date extract with basal cuttings for 48 dipping times accelerated the time of rooting to 3.7 weeks compared to 8 weeks in control treatment.
