Abstract

 This work involves studying the effect of adding some selective organic component mixture on corrosion behavior of pure Al and its alloys in condensed synthetic automotive solution (CSAS) at room temperature. This mixture indicates the increasing of octane number in previous study and in this study show the increasing in corrosion resistance through the decreasing in corrosion rate values.

Electrochemical measurements were carried out by potentiostat at 3 mV/sec to estimate the corrosion parameters using  Tafel extrapolation method, in addition to cyclic polarization test to know the pitting susceptibility of materials in tested medium.

The 2D imaging survey was conducted across an unknown K- 3 cavity that is located in Haditha area-Western Iraq.2D measurements are collected along two intercrossing traverses above the cavity with 105m length of each one. Dipole-dipole array is performed with n-factor of 6 and a-spacing equals to 5m. The inverse models of 2D imaging technique showed clearly that the resistivity contrast between the anomalous part of cavity and background resistivity of rocks is about 800:100 Ωm .In addition, the invers models showed that the depth from ground surface to the upper roof of cavity approximately equals to 11m near the cavity operator. This study included 50 blood samples collected from children with mean age 8-12 years. Thirty five blood samples were collected from children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1D) with mean age 9.4±0.34 years, and 15 blood samples collected from healthy children as a control sample with mean age 10.9±0.38 years. Immunogenetic study was done on collected blood samples. Concentrations of IFN-γ were estimated from T1D patient and control samples by using Elisa instrument. The concentration of this interferon was 1.575 pg/ml in T1D patient sample in comparison with 0.921 pg/ml in control sample.
