Endomeriosis of Cesarean Section Why on Leet side?
...Show More Authors

Background: Endometriosis is defined as the presence or growth of ectopic endometrial tissue outside their usual site ( the uterus). It is a common condition in women. It may occur in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, vagina and rarely, endometriosis may occur in the abdomen and lungs. Endometriosis is common among women of reproductive age. It is either primary or secondary. The triad of diagnosis is a pain with menstruation, cesarean scar and a mass in the scar.                                                                                                                             Methods: A report a series of 65  patients in the period from 1st Jan 2013 to 31st  Dec 2017. The study was performed in Al-Kindi Teaching Hospital and a private hospital. The mean age was 35 years (range 20-45).All patients were treated surgically i.e. excision of the tumor and old surgical scar in the lower abdomen.

Result: mean age was 35 years (range 20-45). Thirty  patients (46.15%) were housewives  while 35(53.84%) were officers. The interesting finding is that 52 patients had the mass in the left side, 10 in the middle and only 3 in the right side of the scar respectively.

Conclusion: Our study demonstrated a lateral asymmetry in the location of scar endometriosis i.e. mostly on the left side. The prevalence on left side of scar can be added to the triad of diagnosis mentioned above I.e. cyclical pain, cesarean scar and mass mostly in left side of the scar.

Radiation Effect on the Optical& Structural Properties of CdTe: Zn thin Films
...Show More Authors

The Films of CdTe:Zn were prepared on a glass by using vacuum vapor deposition technique .The x-ray diffraction pattern revealed that the films have polycrystalline with FCC structure and the preferred orientation was along (111) plane.  The films were exposed to a low dose of gamma ray.(5µCi for 30 days) Transmission and absorptance spectra were recorded in the range of (400-1100) nm before and after irradiation. It was found that irradiation has a clear effect on the optical and structural properties which include the transmition and absorption spectra, extinction coefficient, refractive index, and the energy gap.

Thickness Effect of CuAlTe2 Thin Films on Morphological, Structural and Visual Properties
...Show More Authors

CuAlTe2 thin films were evaporation on glass substrates using the technique of thermal evaporation at different range of thickness (200,300,400and500) ±2nm. The structures of these films were investigated by X-ray diffraction method; showing that films possess a good crystalline in tetragonal structure. AFM showed that the grain size increased from (70.55-99.40) nm and the roughness increased from (2.08-3.65) nm by increasing the thickness from (200-500) nm. The optical properties measurements, such as absorbance, transmtance, reflectance, and optical constant as a function of wavelength showed that the direct energy gap decreased from (2.4-2.34) eV by the gain of the thickness.

Estimation of Minimum Miscibility Pressure for 〖CO〗_2 Flood Based on EOS
...Show More Authors

CO2 Gas is considered one of the unfavorable gases and it causes great air pollution. It’s possible to decrease this pollution by injecting  gas in the oil reservoirs to provide a good miscibility and to increase the oil recovery factor. MMP was estimated by Peng Robinson equation of state (PR-EOS). South Rumila-63 (SULIAY) is involved for which the miscible displacement by  is achievable based on the standard criteria for success EOR processes. A PVT report was available for the reservoir under study. It contains deferential liberation (DL) and constant composition expansion (CCE) tests.  PVTi software is one of the (Eclipse V.2010) software’s packages, it has been used to achieve the goal.

Remediation of Oil Production by Matrix Acidizing Method on an Oil Well
...Show More Authors

The remediation oil production by matrix acidizing method on the well named "X" (for confidential reasons) is scrutinized in this paper. Initial production of 1150 bpd, production index of 2.8 STB/Psi/d and permeability of 150md, in 2018 two years down the lane this dropped to 450 bpd, production index 0.7 STB/Psi/d. The declined observed on the production index is trouble shouted and after elimination of (no completion damage/perforation damage), the skin is calculated by carrying out a well test (build-up test) whose extrapolation in excel over times gave us a skin of 40.The reservoir heterogeneity, containing >20% of feldspar, carbonates and paraffin’s guided thematrix acidizing design and treatment proposition to remedy thi

Modeling Human Capital Impact on the Development of the Iraqi Oil Industry
...Show More Authors

Iraq has the second largest proven oil reserves in the world. According to oil experts, it is expected that the Iraq's reserves to rise to 200+ billion barrels of high-grade crude.

Oil is a strategic commodity for producing and exporting countries in general, and Iraq in particular, as demonstrated by the international experience that oil is an important means to achieve economic growth, an important tool in the overall economic, social and political development. It is also an important source of hard currency for any national economy and a means to connect the local economy and the global economy. In this paper we focus our attention on selecting the best regression model that explain the effect of human capita

The Impact of Bank Loans on the Real Estate Sector in Iraq
...Show More Authors

The real estate prices in the Iraqi market have witnessed a significant increase in the prices of residential units, including land plots and residential buildings, especially after the approval of the new exchange rate and the provision of financial loans to employees and citizens. Therefore, real estate loans are considered one of the financing tools in the housing sector, whether these loans are directed towards the construction of new housing or the rehabilitation of existing buildings for housing. The housing market is an important component of the economic and social system, as housing is a commodity that is influenced by supply, demand, and the trade of materials involved in housing unit production. The housing system is also

Light naphtha one of the products from distillation column in oil refineries used as feedstock for gasoline production. The major constituents of light naphtha are (Normal Paraffin, Isoparaffin, Naphthene, and Aromatic). In this paper, we used zeolite (5A) with uniform pores size (5Aº) to separate normal paraffin from light naphtha, due to suitable pore size for this process and compare the behavior of adsorption with activated carbon which has a wide range of pores size (micropores and mesopores) and high surface area. The process is done in a continuous system - Fixed bed reactor- at the vapor phase with the constant conditions of flow rate 5 ml/min, temperature 180oC, pressure 1.6 bar and 100-gram weight o

Coronavirus: (COVID-19) is a recently discovered viral disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus.

The majority of patients with corona-virus infections will have a mild-moderate respiratory disease that recovers without special care. Most often, the elderly, and others with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, coronary disease, respiratory illness, and malignancy are seriously ill.

COVID-19 is spread mostly by salivary droplets or nasal secretions when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

COVID-19 causes severe acute respiratory illness (SARS-COV-2). The first incidence was recorded in Wuhan, China, in 2019.  Since then it spreads leading to a pandemic.
