The work demonstrates the effect of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) on adult female rats suffering from osteoporosis, the used plasma was generated by a floating electrode-dielectric barrier discharge system with an electrode diameter of 3 cm. The output power was from (12-20) watts. The effect of non-thermal plasma was observed on rats with various exposure times of 20, 30, and 40 sec. It was noted that the blood calcium percentage of animals exposed to cold plasma increased, as well as an increase in the level of vitamin D3 at the same time, it is noted that there is no effect on parathyroid hormone level. This research considers a proposed mechanism relying on frictional interactions between the grasped object and the gripper, thus attaining a case of self-locking condition for a tendon type robotic gripper. A mathematical model was derived for this proposed mechanism, upon which a special purpose apparatus was fabricated and tested. Both results, theoretically and experimentally, are in good agreement, showing that the weight of the grasped object played a major role in attaining the self-locking condition.

The study aimed to investigate the harmful effect associated with PERC exposure among dry-cleaning workers. The study was carried out on 58 adults in two groups. PERC-exposed group; include thirty-two male dry-cleaning workers using PERC as a dry-cleaning solvent and twenty-six healthy non-exposed subjects.
