Abstract: In Class III malocclusion it is not easy to plan a combined orthodontic-surgical therapy or treatment with modern orthodontic methods alone. The aim of this study was to quantify the dento-alveolar compensation during puberty and adulthood for patients having moderate-severe skeletal class III malocclusion and to assess their treatment requirements. True lateral radiographs have been taken for 24 adolescent and 30 adult Iraqi orthodontic patients, followed by their cephalometric analysis. The study aimed to establish the association of miR-153-3p expression with treatment response to IM in CML patients. Sixty CML patients were included and divided into two groups consistent with their response to treatment whether sensitive or resistant to IM. Ten healthy normal participants were enrolled as control group. RNA was extracted from serum to work out miR-153-3p expression utilizing real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. The primers were supplied by Macrogen Inc.
