An attempt was made to evaluate the PV performance of one-axis daily tracking and fixed system for Baghdad, Iraq. Two experimental simulations were conducted on a PV module for that purpose. Measurements included incident solar radiation, load voltage and load current. The first experiment was carried out for six months of winter half of year to simulate the one-axis daily tracking. The azimuth angle was due south while the tilt angle was being set to optimum according to each day of simulation. The second experiment was done at one day to simulate the PV module of fixed angles.      The aim of this research is to study the effects of the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) on the temperature and precipitation patterns in Baghdad city. Data of the monthly means of the NAO index,the monthlymeans of temperature, and the monthly total of precipitation were analyzed for the period 1900-2008. Non-parametric tests were used to investigate the correlations between these variables. The time series of temperature and precipitation showed no trends. The results indicated that is a slight correlation between the NAO and temperature and precipitation suggesting that NAO has no major effects on the temperature and precipitation patterns in Baghdad city.

The ability of A.hydrophila isolates (63 isolates) to form biofilm, was studied and the results showed that fifty six isolates (88.8%) gave positive results in Congo red agar, while 51 isolates ( 80.7%) gave positive results in Christensen method, sixty isolates( 95.2%) produced biofilm on Polystyrene microtiter plates. Results revealed that all drinking water isolates produced biofilm (18 isolates )and 42 raw water isolates produced biofilm (depending on Polystyrene microtiter plates test).
