A total of 320 samples of vaginal swabs was obtained from women complaining of vaginal infection and attending two hospitals in Al-Sader city, Baghdad, namely Ibn AlBaladi Hospital for Pediatrics and Gynecology and Fatimat Al-Zahraa Hospital for Obstetrics in Al-Habibia district during the period from Desember 1997 till July 1998. Results of direct smear and culture showed that Trichomonas vaginalis infection occurred in 19.1%, in addition to some microorganisms. The most common infection was by Candida spp. (24.7%), followed by Gardnerella vaginalis (13.8%) and Staph. aureus (10.9%). Infection with Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp. and Proteus spp. were 6.6%, 3.8% and 2.5%, respectively. The infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae was very low (1.3%). The most associated microorganisms with T. vaginalis were G. vaginalis (26.2%). Infection with N. gonorrhoeae was less associated with T. vaginalis (1.6%). Fungal infection was 14.8% with those positive for T. vaginalis and it was less than those with negative trichomoniasis (27%). No considerable differences were noticed in the percentages of other microorganisms associated or non associated with T. vaginalis.
The study included general survey of some districts of Iraq in order to determinate new distribution areas for 33 species of the genus salvia L. ,new collections obtained , new locations for many species recorded. Blood samples of One hundred and twenty patients from different hospitals in Baghdad infected with hydatidosis in different sites of the body (Liver, Lung, multiorgans and kidney) were collected for this study. On the other hand, 30 healthy individuals were included as a control group. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of this disease on the serum protein profile of the patients using electrophoresis. The results revealed four different protein banding patterns with difference in number of bands and their molecular weights in comparison to the control group, and these differences depended on the site of infection. However the data showed a presence of the same band in all patients with different site of infection.

The present study was conducted to estimate the incidence, clinical findings, cytological and histopathological characteristics of spontaneously occurring skin neoplasms in dogs. A total of 40 grossly suspected cases of cutaneous and subcutaneous tumors were gathered during the period from July 2016 to August 2018 from male and female dogs in Baghdad city. Dogs with skin neoplasia revealed various clinical signs, and their ages were older than 5 years to 15 years. German shepherd 30% followed by Terrier dogs 25% were more influenced than other breeds. A study of the singlet and triplet states of two electron systems in the first excited state was performed using a simple quantum mechanical model, which assigns the 1s,and 2s orbital with two different variational parameters. Our results agree with a high level calculation used by Snow and Bills.
