Determination of Phenol Components in Rachis and Leaves of Some Grape Varieties (Vitis vinifera L.)

Total phenols, Proanthocyanidin, Catechin  and Epicatechin wrer extracted and determined in ten rachis and leaves of grape  varieties (Vitis vinifera L.) namely: Shadda Soudda, Rush Meo, Rossi 5, Kamali, Halawani, Black Monica, Dase Al-Anz,  Buhrizi, Rossi 7 and Thompson. through two seasons. The results indicated that the rachis of the tested varieties contain total phenol in concentration (2079.76 and 2557.59), (1458.18 and 2119.89), (2233.01 and 3322.26), (3106.22 and 4613.43), (3251.15 and 4739.05), (1668.88 and 2548.59) and (4163.11 and 6202.90). (3922.22 and 5848.17), (3359.03 and 4915.36) and (1035.45 and 1502.27) mg/kg for the tow seasons, respectively. The rachis of  the white grape varieties contain the higher phenolic components. The rachis of the tested varieties were variable in Proanthocyanidin, Catechin  and Epicatechin content.  The total phenol, Proanthocyanidin, Catechin  and Epicatechin of leaves were determined in all tested grape varieties. The full expanded leaf was rich in phenolic compounds in comperisan with maturity stage. The results shows the grape leaves contain higher total phenolic components, Proanthocyanidin, Catechin  and Epicatechin in comparison with the rachis of all tested varieties

Assessment Of Her-2/Neu Gene Amplification Status by Chromogenic in Situ Hybridization in Breast Cancer Patients with Equivocal 2+ Her-2/Neu Immunostaining and Its Relation to The Clinic Pathological Parameters

background: human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (her2/neu) is related to growth factor receptors with alkaline kinase activity and it is regarded as important prognostic and therapeutic factor that can depended on in breast cancer therapy. HER2/neu expression by immunohistochemistry (IHC) is submitted to a great in terob server inconsistency. Subsequently additional confirmatory tests for assessment of gene alterations and amplification status are needed for patients with early or metastatic breast cancer. In situ hybridization techniques and specifically Chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH) was arise as a practical, cost-effective, and alternative to fluorescent in situ hybridization in testing for gene alterationAims of the study

A precision use of thermostat in livestock monitoring system in a poultry house

Nowadays, many new technologies developed in a lot of countries. These technologies are promising in many areas such as environmental monitoring, precision agriculture as well as in animal production. The purpose of this study was to define a better understanding of how new and advanced technologies affect the agriculture and livestock sector alike. Although agriculture and animal husbandry are among the most important sectors, advanced equipment and information technology cannot be used adequately. This situation leads to low production efficiency. It is also known that there can be a significant difference in temperature between the position of the climate control sensor (room temperature) and the area occupied by the animal. This study e

Needs in the stories of the Brothers Grimm (a study in content analysis)

The current study aims to identify the needs in the stories of the Brothers Grimm. The research sample consisted of (3) stories, namely: 1- The story of the Thorn Rose (Sleeping Beauty) 2- The story of Snow White 3- The story of Little Red Riding Hood. The number of pages analyzed reached (15.5) pages, and to achieve the research objectives, Murray's classification of needs was adopted, which contains (36) basic needs that are further divided into (129) sub-needs. The idea was adopted as a unit of analysis and repetition as a unit of enumeration, Reliability was extracted in two ways: 1- Agreement between the researcher and himself over time, where the agreement coefficient reached 97%. The second was agreement between the researcher and tw

Prevalence of Non-Dermatophytic Molds in Toenails among Diabetic Patients in Homs, Syria

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a risk factor for fungal infections, including onychomycosis. The study aims to determine the prevalence of toenail onychomycosis in diabetic patients and its correlation with associated factors, identify the causative agents and compare the fungal culture findings with the real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) findings of diagnosing 6 fungal isolates. A total of 126 diabetic patients were included between November 2020 to June 2021. Nail samples were subjected to potassium hydroxide 20%. Culture was done on Sabouraud dextrose agar medium (SDA), both with and without cycloheximide. Identification of non-dermatophytic molds was based on colony characteristics, colony reverse, cello-tape flag meth

Histological study of liver in guinea pig Cavia porcellus ( Linnaeus , 1758) in Iraq.

The liver is one of the most prominent glands in the digestive system. It crosses vital organs with multiple functions, including the secretion of enzymes, digestion of fats, and secretion of bile. Through histological studies and those interested in them, the tissue structure of the liver is of interest to researchers, and the four samples of Guinea pig Cavia porcellus were taken in this study to know the histological structure and compare it with rodents in particular. and other animals in general. The results of the liver parenchyma were comparable to those of the studied mammals in periods of hepatocytes, Kupffer cells, and sinusoids surrounding the central vein, blood supply, and bile ducts. He did not record differences, eve

STUDY ON THE MUTATION OF ASXL1 IN ACUTE MYELOID LEUKEMIA IN IRAQI PATIENTS

The present study was designed to shed light on the molecular effects caused by acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It was also aimed to investigate ASXL1 point mutations in newly AML patients as compared to healthy control. The study comprised of 43 AML Iraqi patients and their ages ranged between 16-75 years. It included 23 females and 20 males compared with 20 healthy controls. Results revealed that the extracted DNA from 30 AML patients and amplified by PCR to obtain ASXL1 gene from exon 12 showed larger bands (479). Among forty three patients, two of them displayed point mutations of deletion and substitution, while the others were normal since no mutations were detected. The total of mutations in two mutated patients was 27 mutations, the m

Acetaminophen Mimics the Action of Salbutamol in Relaxing Gravid Human Uterus - In - Vitro

Management of preterp'labour generally treated by salbutamol even with some expected disturbing -maternal pulmonary oedema , respiratory distress and
cardiovascular side effects and neonatal low-sized and cellularity of thymus and lymph nodes. This demands finding a substitute free of these side effects . Initially, acetaminophen was tested on rats uterine horns and on pregnant rats and reported an effective relaxation of the uterine horns and profound delay in parturition . These results jestified an in-vitro study on strips of gravid human uterus ruptured during difficult labour. Acetaminophen (50 mg) reduced tension by 50% which was comparable decrease in tension when 5 gg of salbutamol was added.&nbsp

A Stylistic Study of Cohesion in Relation to Narrative Techniques in Religious Discourse

Cohesion is well known as the study of the relationships, whether grammatical and/or lexical, between the different elements of a particular text by the use of what are commonly called 'cohesive devices'. These devices bring connectivity and bind a text together. Besides, the nature and the amount of such cohesive devices usually affect the understanding of that text in the sense of making it easier to comprehend.  The present study is intendedto examine the use of grammatical cohesive devicesin relation to narrative techniques. The story of Joseph from the Holy Quran has been selected to be examined by using Halliday and Hasan's Model of Cohesion (1976, 1989). The aim of the study is to comparatively examine to what extent the type
