The present study introduces description of a new species of class Ostracoda genus Hemicypris Sars, 1903. External morphological characters particularly shape, size and structure of left and right valves of carapace and body appendages were discussed and illustrated. Locality and date of collection were given.
Statistical methods of forecasting have applied with the intention of constructing a model to predict the number of the old aged people in retirement homes in Iraq. They were based on the monthly data of old aged people in Baghdad and the governorates except for the Kurdistan region from 2016 to 2019. Using Box-Jenkins methodology, the stationarity of the series was examined. The appropriate model order was determined, the parameters were estimated, the significance was tested, adequacy of the model was checked, and then the best model of prediction was used. The best model for forecasting according to criteria of (Normalized BIC, MAPE, RMSE) is ARIMA (0, 1, 2).
This study provides valuable information on secondary microbial infections in H1N1 patients compared to Seasonal Influenza in Iraqi Patients. Nasopharynx swabs were collected from (12 ) patients infected with Seasonal influenza (11 from Baghdad and 1 Patient from south of Iraq) ,and ( 22 ) samples from patients with 2009 H1N1 ( 20 from Baghdad and 2 from south of Iraq). The results show that the patients infected with 2009 H1N1 Virus were younger than healthy subjects and those infected with seasonal influenza. And the difference reached to the level of significance (p< 0.01) compared with healthy subjects. Two cases infected with 2009 H1N1 virus (9.1%) were fro

It explores their role in shaping cultural identity, reflecting national characteristics and men-tality. The study analyzes the frequency and contexts of the use of color-related phraseological units in contemporary speech, as well as the influ-ence of media and literature on their popularization. The author highlights the significance of phraseological units in preserving cultural heritage and fostering a deeper understanding of language and culture.
Electricity consumption for household purposes in urban areas widely affects the general urban consumption compared to other commercial and industrial uses, as household electricity consumption is affected by many factors related to the physical aspects of the residential area such as temperature, housing unit area, and coverage ratio, as well as social and economic factors such as family size and income, to reach the extent of the influence of each of the above factors on the amount of electricity consumed for residential uses, a selected sample of a residential area in the city of Baghdad was studied and a field survey conducted of the characteristics of that sample and the results analyzed and modeled statistically in relation to the amo

chemical characteristics in Lower Zab tributary and Tigris River were studied. Month l y samples were col l ected from November 2001 to October 2002.
The rt:sLllts of the present study showed the turbidity iu Tigris river
before the confluence to be higher (34.4 NTU) compared to the other stations. Mean salinity was greater in Lower Zab tributary (0.33 %) compared to that in the river. Lower Zab tJibutary and Tigris River were good in Oxygen content, and a high dissolved oxygen value was recorded (7.9 mg/L) in Lower Zab tributary.

Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometry analysis (GC-MS) identified thirteen compounds representing around 87.11% of the total isolated eucalyptus oil. The main constituent was 1,8-cineole, which accounted for 68.15% of the total identified compounds. As for clove oil, eleven compounds were identified, representing 90.03% of the total compounds. Eugenol was the dominant compound and accounted for 73.89%. The bioherbicidal efficacy of the two oils and their combinations by three concentrations (2.5, 5, and 10%) were tested on four weedy species, namely Chenopodium album, Raph

HPLC analysis was done to evaluate the quantity and quality of the active compounds in this combination which extracted from three herbs( Peppermint Menthapiperita ,Thyme Thymusvulgaris, Common sage Salvia officinalis L.) and the active compounds are Camphor,Menthol,,Thujone and Thymol with different concentrations. In this study (MIC) , (MFC) were measured and (LD50) determined after 48,96 h from fingerlings treatment of common carp in aquariums .The results of (MIC) were 0.025µl/ml for Aphanomyces sp. and 0.015µl/ml for both Achlya sp. and Fusariumsolani which showed significant differences(p<0.05) from Malachite gre

Six out of 35 examined fishes from the north station (17.1%) and one out of 19 examined fishes (5.3%) from south station were infected with the microcotylid Solostamenides paucitesticulatus Kritsky & Öktener, 2015. The parasite was illustrated and described, and it is considered as a new record for the parasitic fauna of fishes of Iraq.
Two oil wells were tested to find the abnormal pressure zones using sonic log technique. We found that well Abu-Jir-3 and Abu-Jir-5 had an abnormal pressure zones from depth 4340 to 4520 feet and 4200 to 4600 feet, respectively. The maximum difference between obtained results and the field measured results did not exceed 2.4%.
In this paper, the formation pressures were expressed in terms of pressure gradient which sometimes reached up to twice the normal pressure gradient.
Drilling and developing such formations were dangerous and expensive.
The plotted figures showed a clear derivation from the normal trend which confirmed the existence of abnormal pressure zones.
Emerge application was used in Hampsson-Russell programs and that uses a combination of multiple 3D or 2D seismic attributes to predict some reservoir parameter of interest. In this research used the seismic inversion technique was performed on post-stack three dimensions (3D) seismic data in Nasriya oilfield with five wells and then used this results in Emerge analysis (training and application) were used to estimate reservoir properties (effective porosity) with multiattribute analysis derive relations between them at well locations. The horizon time slice of reservoir units of (Yb1, Yb3 and Yc) of Yamama Formation was made for property (effective porosity) to confirm match results and enhancement trends within these
