The Effect of GA3 and NPK Fertilizer on Some Chemical Constituents of Wheat Plant Grain. (Triticum aestivum L.)

   The experiment was conducted in kalar horticulture station / sulaimania province in growth season in 2006-2007 , by using pots , each pot capacity is 4 kg soil , soil was brought from one of the region fields to study the influence of increasing concentration of GA3(0 , 25, 50, 75 , 100) ppm and two levels of NPK fertilizer (18-18-18) that (0.23 and 0.64) g/4kg soil in perpot (that equals 160 and 320 kg fertilizer /ha.) on some concentration of nutrition elements in grains , the experiment was applied through completely randomized design (C.R.D.) by using three replicates .         The results showed that the increase in values of the studied characteristics concentration of  (Nitrogen , phosphorus , potassium and percentage of protein ) in grains of wheat with increase in the concentration of GA3 and the level of NPK fertilizer, and the interaction between them as compared with control treatment .

Effect of Replacing Partial of Wheat Flour by Lentil Powder on Quality Properties of Laboratory Bread

This investigation was carried out to examine the effect of replacing partial of flour by dried Lentils (Lens culinaris) to white flour in different percentages on the chemical, sensory and storage properties of the Laboratory bread. The results revealed that replacing 0% than wheat flour by lentil powder (1) control was high significan than the replacing 25 and 35% than wheat flour by lentil powder ( 4 and 5) in flavor and chewiness . Therefore, residues from four different Brassica vegetables viz. broccoli, Brussels sprout, cauliflower, and red cherry radish were extracted using two procedures methods: methanolic and water crude extracts. Methanol extracts showed the highest content of total phenolic (TP), total flavonoids (TF), and total tannins (TT) for broccoli and Brussels sprouts residues. Determination and measuring some of the physical and chemical parameters in the clay of Lake Hamrin, Iraq

The composition of the clay taken from the lake of Hamrin, Iraq was studied with the determination of the concentrations of the major oxides and the minor oxides in it.   Kaolinite was the most dominant clay in the samples, while quartz was the most abundant non-clay mineral. 

Some physico-chemical parameters in lake's water were determined such as oxygen, a chlorosity, nutrient salts,  pH, total alkalinity, total nitrogen, total phosphorous and silicate.
