Verapamil Hydrochloride (VH) has been determined spectrophotometrically by using Methyl Orange (MO). In our previous researches MO was used for determination of Mexiletine Hydrochloride [1]. The method was based on complexation between (MO and VH). After shaking and diluting the complex solution with D.W, the pH was adjusted with NaOH and HCl to pH 4. The colored complex formed between VH and the reagents were transferred into separating funnels and extracted using 4.5 ml CH2Cl2 and were shaken for (4 minutes). The extracted organic layer was used for the preparation of the calibration curves for spectrophotometric measurements of VH at 437nm. The blanks were carried out in exactly the same way throughout the whole procedure. Molar absorptivity (ε L.mol-1.cm-1), detection limit, limit of linearity (µg.ml-1) and r2 were, 1.75*105, 0.009253, 0.08 and 0.993 for (VH-MO) respectively. The method was used with reasonable accuracy and precision for the determination of (VH) in synthetic samples of tablets, capsules and ampoules.

The aim of this research is to determine the concentrations of uranium in human blood in some regions of Baghdad governorate and to determine the level of contamination with uranium for these regions during the (2003) war. The results obtained have shown that the maximum uranium concentration in blood samples was found (0.256 ppm) in AL-Zaifranea region and AL-Sader city,while the minimum in AL-Shab region (0.052 ppm) ,the minimum of uranium concentration in the blood samples was found to be (0.008 ppm) (male,39 years old) lived in AL-Shab region, while the maximum of uranium concentration in the blood samples was found to be (0.44 ppm) (female, 55 years old ) lived in AL-Sader city.

Tea is one of the important liquids that people drink. In Iraq, tea is the main beverage after water. The tea plant is known scientifically as Camellia sinensis, when planting and during growth needs to fertilizers, which contents remarkable amounts of Uranium. In this study the radon gas concentration in air in Al - Haswaa city in province of Baghdad in Iraq have been calculated using CR-39 solid–state nuclear track detector technique. A total of 8 samples selected from 8 region in Al – Haswaa city in province of Baghdad have been placed in the dosimeters for 30 day. The average radon gas concentration was found to be 486.26 Bq/m3 which is lower than the standard international limit (1100 Bq/m3). The potential alpha energy concentration and annual effective dose have been calculated. A proportional relationship between the annual effective dose and radon gas concentration within the studied region has been certified.
This study was designed to know the effect of Diclofenac sodium (voltaren) drug on the histological composition of kidney in domestic rabbits . Twelve adult males with (1.4) kg weight . The first group of animals administrated orally by 1 ml of Voltaren with 6 mg/kg , while the second group with (1) ml of distal water (as control group ) . the administrated continue for (60) days sequentially.
