The species of Cr (III), Cr (VI) in biological samples and V(IV), V(V) in foods & plants samples were determined by spectrophotometric methods. Integrated spectral studies of complexes [Cr (III, VI)-DPC], [Cr (VI)-bipy], [VO-SH], [V (V)-8-HQ] which included a study of the optimum conditions for the complexes formation by the investigation of the chemical and physical variables affecting each complex formation, the nature of complexes, the preparation of calibration curves of the complexes and treated the resulted data by modern statistical methods and study the interfering species. Interferences were removed to explain the reactions thermodynamically by determining Ecell, Keq. and ∆G values and includes a study of separating the interfering ions from chromium and vanadium ions by using ion exchange columns. The linear ranges of determination for Cr (III), Cr (VI) and V(IV), V(V) were 0.5-8 µgml-1 with correlation coefficients of 0.9985 to 0.9995. The detection limit for Cr(III), Cr(VI), V(IV) and V(V) were found to be 20, 15, 50 and 100 ng.ml-1, respectively. Precision was typically better than 1.5 %, based on triplicate injections. The satisfactory recovery of 98.9 % ~ 100.81 % for Cr (VI) could be obtained from blood and urine samples and of 99.24 % ~ 101.09 % for V (IV) could be obtained from foods samples. The results agreed with those obtained by spectrophotometric determination with standard addition method and with certified values of standard reference samples.

In this study, from a total of 856 mastitis cases in lactating ewes, only 34 Streptococcus agalactiae isolates showed various types of resistance to three types of antibiotics (Penicillin, Erythromycin and Tetracycline). St. agalactiae isolates were identified according to the standard methods, including a new suggested technique called specific Chromogenic agar. It was found that antibiotic bacterial resistance was clearly identified by using MIC-microplate assay (dilution method). The 8 - mixing ratios of 7 - transitions from levels of 26 Mg populated in 23 Na (a, py)26Mg reaction are calculated using a2 — ratio method for the first time in the case of two mixed y - transitions from the same initial level. The results obtained have been compared with 8 - values determined by other methods. The comparison shows that the agreement is excellent. A study of non-diatom algal species composition in twelve sites from Greater Zab River path within

The ability of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to uptake three pharmaceuticals (diclofenac, mefenamic acid and metronidazole) from two types of soil (clay and sandy soil) was investigated in this study to explore the human exposure to these pharmaceuticals via the consumption of beans. A pot experiment was conducted with beans plants which were grown in two types of soil for six weeks under controlled conditions. During the experiment period, the soil pore water was collected weekly and the concentrations of the test compounds in soil pore water as well as in plant organs (roots, stems and leaves) were weekly determined.
