...Show More Authors

In this research we prepared PbS thin films with vacuum thermo evaporation process and  chemical spray pyrolysis.         Structure properties were studied for PbS thin films through (XRD) measurement. PbS thin films growth appear as Polycrystalline cubic and sharp peak with directional (200) then  calculated   Lattice constant (a) and the values are (5.9358)Ã… for (PbS) films prepared by thermo evaporation , (2.978-5.969 Ã…) for films prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis at temperature degree   (553K , 573K)  sequence .Then it was found that the grain size for (PbS) thin films prepared by thermo evaporation is (335.81)Ã… while the grain size for films prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis is (152.15) Ã… .

Polyvinylpyrrolidone/Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes/Graphene Nanocomposite as Gas Sensor
...Show More Authors

In this work, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) nanocomposite was prepared and hybridized with Graphene (Gr) by the solution casting method.  The morphological and electrical properties were investigated by field effect scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images, portraying a uniform dispersion of graphene within the PVP-MWCNT nanocomposite. The AC conductivity increased from (1.45552) to (2.34812) (Ω cm)-1 with the use of nanocomposite. The increasing continues for the AC conductivity after hybridized with graphene up to (7.20641) (Ω cm)-1. In addition, the performances of the prepared samples for gas sensor application have been investigated.

Printmaking Techniques to Enable People with Visual Impairment to Taste Print Artworks
...Show More Authors

The study aims to integrate the visually impaired people into the art connoisseur community through producing special print artworks to enable the visually impaired people to use their other senses to feel artworks by using artistic printing techniques through adding some prominent materials to the printing colors or making an impact that visually impaired people can perceive using their other senses. This study also aims to set up art exhibitions that display tangible works that can enable visually impaired people to feel artwork and understand its elements to enable them to feel it through other senses.
The study follows the experimental method, through using artistic printing techniques, which allow printing with prominent textur

New Bis(dithiocarbamate) Ligand for Complex Formation; Synthesis, Spectral Analysis and Bacterial Activity
...Show More Authors

A range of macrocyclic dinuclear metal (II) dithiocarbamate-based complexes are reported. The preparation of complexes was accomplished from either mixing of the prepared ligand with a metal ion or through a template one-pot reaction. The preparation of the bisamine precursor was achieved through several synthetic steps. The free ligand; potassium 2,2'-(biphenyl-4,4'-diylbis(azanediyl))bis(1-chloro-2-oxoethane-2,1diyl)bis(cyclohexylcarbamodithioate) (L) was yielded from the addition of CS2 to a bis-amine precursor in  KOH medium.A variety of analytical and physical methods were implemented to characterise ligand and its complexes. The analyses were based on spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, UV-Vis, mass spectroscopy and 1H, 13C-NMR sp

Groundwater situation before production and after production stoppage in Al-Mishraq Sulfur field-1, northern Iraq
...Show More Authors

This study dealt with the reality of groundwater before Sulfur production in the Al-Mishraq field-1 and after production stopped in the field, by measuring the groundwater table for (44) wells in 2021, and comparing it to the groundwater table measured by the Polish company Centrozap in 1971, the groundwater table was a range between (187.71-205.8)m in 1971, but in 2021 it ranged was between (188.51-196.55)m.
Maps of the groundwater movement and water table were created using these data. It turned out that there was little change in the direction of groundwater flow; in both cases, the flow is from the west and northwest towards the east with a slight slope toward the southeast and the Tigris River. As for hydraulic properties, it w

Production Load–bearing Concrete Masonry Units by Using Recycled Waste Crushed Clay Bricks; A Review
...Show More Authors

There are serious environmental problems in all countries of the world, due to the waste material such as crushed clay bricks (CCB) and in huge quantities resulting from the demolition of buildings. In order to reduce the effects of this problem as well as to preserve natural resources, it is possible to work on recycling (CCB) and to use it in the manufacture of environmentally friendly loaded building units by replacing percentages in coarse aggregate by volume. It can be used as a powder and replacing of percentages in cement by weight and study the effect on the physical and mechanical properties of the concrete and the masonry unit. Evaluation of its performance through workability, dry density, compressive strength, thermal conduct

Bone Defect Animal Model for Hybrid Polymer Matrix Nano Composite as Bone Substitute Biomaterials
...Show More Authors

Addition of bioactive materials such as Titanium oxide (TiO2), and incorporation of bio inert ceramic such as alumina (Al2O3), into polyetheretherketone (PEEK) has been adopted as an effective approach to improve bone-implant interfaces. In this paper, hot pressing technique has been adopted as a production method. This technique gave a homogenous distribution of the additive materials in the proposed composite biomaterial. Different compositions and compounding temperatures have been applied to all samples. Mechanical properties and animal model have been studied in all different production conditions. The results of these new TiO2/Al2O3/PEEK biocomposites with different

The researcher studied transportation problem because it's great importance in the country's economy. This paper which ware studied several ways to find a solution closely to the optimization, has applied these methods to the practical reality by taking one oil derivatives which is benzene product, where the first purpose of this study is, how we can reduce the total costs of transportation for product of petrol from warehouses in the province of Baghdad, to some stations in the Karsh district and Rusafa in the same province. Secondly, how can we address the Domandes of each station by required quantity which is depending on absorptive capacity of the warehouses (quantities supply), And through r

Cysteine-cupped CdSe/CdS quantum dots as an opticalbiosensor for early skin cancer detection
...Show More Authors

This study represents an optical biosensor for early skin cancer detection using cysteine-cupped CdSe/CdS Quantum Dots (QDs). The study optimizes QD synthesis, surface, optical functionalization, and bioconjugation to enhance specificity and sensitivity for early skin cancer cell detection. The research provides insights into QD interactions with skin cancer biomarkers, demonstrating high-contrast, precise cellular imaging. Cysteine-capped CdSe/CdS absorption spectra reveal characteristic peaks for undamaged DNA, while spectral shifts indicate structural changes in skin-cancer-damaged DNA. Additionally, fluorescence spectra show sharp peaks for undamaged DNA and notable shifts and intensity variations when interacting with skin cancer. This
