Effect of Temperature and Nickel Concentration on the Electrical and Dielectric Properties of Polyethylene-Nickel Composites
...Show More Authors

The effect of temperature range from 298 K to 348 K and volume filler content ф on electrical properties of polyethylene PE filled with nickel Ni powders has been investigated. The volume electrical resistivity V  of such composites decreases suddenly by several orders of magnitude at a critical volume concentration (i.e. фc=14.27 Vol.%) ,whereas the dielectric constant   and the A.C electrical conductivity AC  of such composites increase suddenly at a critical volume concentration (i.e. фc=14.27 Vol.%).For volume filler content lower than percolation threshold ф<фc the resistivity decreases with increasing temperature, whereas the dielectric constant and the A.C electrical conductivity of such composites increase indicating a semi-conducting behavior, where for ф> фc there is increase in the value of their resistivity, and decrease in the value of their dielectric constant and the A.C electrical conductivity AC 
with increasing temperature indicating metallic-conduction.

The Effect of Urban Form on Temperature for Hot Arid Zones. The Case Study of Baghdad, Iraq
...Show More Authors

The research aims to determine optimal urban planning and design indicators of the urban clusters form in hot arid zones through studying of three urban areas in Baghdad, analyzing their urban indicators which include floor area ratio (FAR), urban clusters height, building density or land coverage, green areas, paved areas, shading ratio and how they affect urban temperature. The research reached the conclusion that air outdoor temperature on urban areas affected primarily by shadows casted on the ground, the effect of shaded area equals (5) times the effect of paved areas and (3.7) times the effect of green areas, this means that increasing urban clusters height in hot arid zones could minimize air outdoor temperature, building

The Study of Annealing and Dopping Effect of Zn on Structural and Optical Properties for CdTe Thin Films
...Show More Authors

In this research thin films of (CdTe) have been prepared as pure and doped by Zn
with different ratios (1,2,3,4,5)% at thickness (400+25)nm with deposition rate (2±0.1)nm,
deposited on glass substrate at R.T. by using thermal evaporation in vacuum . All samples
were annealed at temperature (523,573,623,673)K at 1h.
The structural prop erties of all prepared thin films, doped and undoped have been
studied by using XRD. The analysis reveals that the structures of the films were
polycrystalline and typed cubic with a preferred orientation along (111) plane for the
undoped films with (2,3)% of zinc , and shifting (2ÆŸ) for doped films . The annealing films
at temperature 573 K and Zn:3% show decreasing in

Effect of High and low temperature and different relative humidity on biology of old Serew worm Chrvsomya bezziana (Villeneuve) Diptera: calliphoridae
...Show More Authors

The effect of some environment faetor (different temperature and relative humidity) on the biology of the old world- screw worm, were studied under laboratory condition, the result showed that non of the eggs hatched at 15°c and under dried eondition which relative humidity between 20-40%, also result showed that the mature larvae needs one days to become pupa since it leaves the larval died at the temperature ranged between 25-40°C at different humidity rates. While it needs 3 days under lower temperature and different humidity to become pu^, on the other hand the results showed that either low temperature and dried condition or high temperature at different humidity rates cause non of pupa became adult. While low temperature (15-20) °c

Evaluation of the effect of preheating on micro leakage of Class II composites Restoration (A comparative in vitro study)
...Show More Authors

Background: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate and compare the effect of preheating microleakage among three different filler size composites which include Filtektm Z250 micro hybrid, Z250xt Nano hybrid and nanocomposite Z350xt.  in Class II cavity preparation .

Materials and methods: sixty maxillary first premolars were prepared with class II cavities. Samples were divided into three groups according to material used    group A (FiltekZ250 micro hybrid). Group B(Z250xt Nano hybrid). Group C (nanocomposite Z350xt)and each group divided into two subgroups of ten teeth according to temperature of  composite:

Effect of SnO2/In2O3 Atomic Ratio on the Structural and Optical Properties of ITO Thin Filmsof SnO2:In2O3 Thin Film Composite Ratio on Structural and Optical Properties
...Show More Authors

In this work, the effect of atomic ratio on structural and optical properties of SnO2/In2O3 thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition technique under vacuum and annealed at 573K in air has been studied.  Atomic ratios from 0 to 100% have been used. X-ray diffraction analysis has been utilized to study the effect of atomic ratios on the phase change using XRD analyzer and the crystalline size and the lattice strain using Williamson-Hall relationship. It has been found that the ratio of 50% has the lowest crystallite size, which corresponds to the highest strain in the lattice. The energy gap has increased as the atomic ratio of indium oxide increased.

The Effect Of Phoenix Dactylifera L. Pinnae Reinforcement On The Mechanical And Thermal Properties Of Polymer Composite
...Show More Authors

Phoenix dactylifera l. pinnae (the green leaves of dates palm) were used as natural reinforcing (strengthening) fibers to improve the mechanical properties of polyester as a matrix material, the fibers of the green leaves of dates palm were used in two lengths, 10 and 20mm with five rates of 0, 2.5, 5, 10, and 20% , where the reinforcing with the leaves fibers increases the hardness strength from 76.5 to be about 86.55 , the Impact value raised from about 0.313 to 0.461 , in addition to that the flexural strength from 2.66 to be about 55 , and the thermal conductivity increases from 2.54 𝑤∕𝑚.℃ to 5.41 𝑤∕𝑚.℃. The results of the present search explains that the composite samples reinforced at rate 20% and 10mm fiber length

The Effect of Weighting Materials on the Rheological Properties of Iraqi and Commercial Bentonite in Direct Emulsion
...Show More Authors

Numerous drilling additives and materials are used continuously because they are necessary to support and give the required properties of the drilling fluid so that to ensure the stability of the borehole. This paper aspires to evaluate the rheological properties of bentonite (montmorillonite) Trefawey as an alternative to using commercial bentonite. Monitoring and evaluating of the rheological and filtration properties were prepared. This exertion aims to focus on the effect of hematite, and barite on the rheological properties of the three aforementioned bentonite types. An improvement in the rheological properties of bentonite (montmorillonite). Trefawey was observed after adding the previous heavy materials. Hematite has by some

Production and Evaluation of Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuel from Thermal Pyrolysis of Virgin Polyethylene Plastics
...Show More Authors

Pyrolysis of virgin polyethylene plastics was studied in order to produce hydrocarbon liquid fuel. The pyrolysis process carried out for low and high-density polyethylene plastics in open system batch reactor in temperature range of 370 to 450°C.

Thermo-gravimetric analysis of the virgin plastics showed that the degradation ranges were between 326 and 495 °C. The results showed that the optimum temperature range of pyrolysis of polyethylene plastics that gives highest liquid yield (with specific gravity between 0.7844 and 0.7865) was 390 to 410 °C with reaction time of about 35 minutes. Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy gave a quite evidence that the produced hydrocarbon liquid fuel consisted ma
