Adsorption of Mono Substituted Nitro Phenols From Aqueous Solution on the Zemeej Surface at Different Temperatures

   Adsorption of o-Nitrophenol (o-Nph), m- Nitrophenol (m-Nph) and p- Nitrophenol (pNph) on the sedimentary sand of the Tigress River which is known locally by “Zemeej” from aqueous solution at 288, 298, 308, 318 and 328 k0 . This study indicates that o-Nph and mNph take multi-layered S type according to Giles classification while p-Nph takes a multilayered L type according to the same classification. The isotherms treated by Freundlich model and show a good response to this model because the heterogeneous nature of the surface. The adsorption for all materials was endothermic as shown from ΔH values and explained through the porous nature of the surface, the remaining thermodynamic functions ΔG and ΔS were also calculated at all temperatures for all adsorbents which indicate that the randomness, finally the results indicate that the orientation on NO2 group to para position acts to decrease the quantity of adsorption

Effect of Target properties on the Plasma Characteristics that produced by Laser at Atmospheric Pressure

In this paper, Al and Cu Plasmas that produced by pulsed Nd:YAG laser with fundamental wave length with a pulse duration of 6 nS focused onto Al and Cu targets in atmospheric air are investigated spectroscopically. The influence of pulse laser energy on the some Al and Cu plasmas characteristics was diagnosed by using optical emission spectroscopy for the wavelength range 320-740 nm. The results observed that the increase of pulse laser energy causes to increase all plasma characteristics of both plasmas under study and shown increasing of the emission line intensity. Assessment of Lead, Cadmium and Copper concentrations in Raw Milk Collected from different location in Iraq

Raw milk is subjected to various physical, chemical and biological pollutants due to produce, a transporting and marketing processes. The current study was designed to examine raw milk samples which were collected from different locations of Iraq. The highest mean value of Pb content [1.801±0.311 ppm] was recorded while the lowest mean value [0.941±0.104 ppm]. The highest mean value [1.532±0.124 ppm] and gave the lowest mean value [0.063±0.044 ppm] of Cd content. This study has the highest mean value of Cu content was [0.931±0.092 ppm] and but the lowest mean value was [0.308±0.029 ppm]. Metals contents of raw milk in this study showed higher than standards of the International Dairy Federation [IDF].

Detection and isolation of flavonoid and aromatic acid from Cynara scolymus different parts cultivated in iraq

The target of this study was to study the natural phytochemical components of the head (capsule) of Cynara scolymus cultivated in Iraq. The head (capsule) of plant was extracted by maceration in70% ethanol for 72 hours, and fractioned by hexane, chloroform and ethyl acetate. Preliminary qualitative phytochemical screening was performed on the ethyl acetate fraction for capsule was revealed the presence of flavonoid and aromatic acids. Comparative Study between Classical and Fuzzy Filters for Removing Different Types of Noise from Digital Images

The aim of this paper is to compare between classical and fuzzy filters for removing different types of noise in gray scale images. The processing used consists of three steps. First, different types of noise are added to the original image to produce a noisy image (with different noise ratios). Second, classical and fuzzy filters are used to filter the noisy image. Finally, comparing between resulting images depending on a quantitative measure called Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) to determine the best filter in each case.
