A simple, sensitive, accurate and economic spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of sulfacetamide (SFA) in pure form, synthetic sample and urine. The method is based on diazotization of primary amine group of sulfacetamide with sodium nitrite and hydrochloric acid followed by coupling with chromotropic acid in alkaline medium to obtain a stable orange colored chromogen which exhibit a maximum absorption (λmax) at 511.5 nm. Different variables affecting the completion of reaction have been carefully optimized following the classical univariate sequence and modified simplex method (MSM). Under optimized conditions, Beer’s law obeyed in the concentration range of (0.5- 20.0 µg.ml-1) with molar absorptivity of 3.2186*104 L.mol-1.cm-1. The limit of detection was 0.054 µg.mL-1 and Sandell’s sensitivity value 7.8989 µg.cm-2. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of (SFA) in synthetic sample and urine.
In this paper, the complexes of Shiff base of Methyl -6-[2-(diphenylmethylene)amino)-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]-2,2-dimethyl-5-oxo-1-thia-4-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-3-carboxylate (L) with Cobalt(II), Nickel(II), Cupper(II) and Zinc(II) have been prepared. The compounds have been characterized by different means such as FT-IR, UV-Vis, magnetic moment, elemental microanalyses (C.H.N), atomic absorption, and molar conductance. The mathematical construction of an ecological model with a prey-predator relationship was done. It presumed that the prey consisted of a stage structure of juveniles and adults. While the adult prey species had the power to fight off the predator, the predator, and juvenile prey worked together to hunt them. Additionally, the effect of the harvest was considered on the prey. The study aimed to assess the expression of CD49d and CD26 in newly diagnosed CLL patients and find their correlation with clinical Binet stage, and other clinical parameters. This study was conducted on 51 newly diagnosed CLL patients based on lymphocyte count > 5×109/L and immunophenotyping. The expression of CD49d, and CD26 were investigated using eight-color flow cytometer. The expression of CD49d and CD26 were detected in 56.9 %, 68.8 % of CLL patients, respectively.
