In this study, depleted uranium concentrations were calculated in sediments Diyala River samples , where 14 samples of sediment along the Diyala River were collected , starting from the Rustumiya area and ending with the Tuwaitha area after its confluence with the River Tigris , using the solid - state nuclear track detectors technique (SSNTDs). We found that the highest concentration of depleted uranium was in the sample (A-13), and was taken from the Tuwaitha area with the specific activity of the amount (78.1 ± 8.5 Bq/kg ) and the lowest concentration of the depleted uranium was in the sample (A-7), and was taken from the Azwaip area with the specific activity of the amount (46.3 ± 8.2 Bq/kg ) and the average up to (61.13 ± 5.26 Bq/kg ). The results showed that the average hazard index of these samples was up to (0.341) which is the limit being less than 1 and converged with what is recorded in some international organizations such as the (WHO) and (EPA). The results also show that external effective dose average was around (0.0325 mSv/y) and the internal effective dose average was around (0.182 mSv/y) .

The dielectric properties of polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-MnCl2 composite were studied by using the impedance technique. The measurements were carried out as a function of frequency in the range from 10 Hz to 13 MHz and temperature range from 27oC to 55oC. A total of 589 fishes, belonging to 23 species were collected from eight different localities

An environmentally begnin second derivative spectrometric approach was developed for the estimation of the dissociation constants pKa(s) of metformin, a common anti-diabetic drug. The ultraviolet spectra of the aqueous solution of metformin were measured at different acidities, then the second derivative of each spectrum was graphed. The overlaid second derivative graphs exhibited two isobestic points at 225.5 nm and 244 nm pointing out to the presence of two dissociation constants for metformin pKa1 and pKa2, respectively. In this research, the rabbits' bones have been fractured, the rabbits were exposed to the cold plasma for five minute times two weeks. The microwave plasma voltage which was used in the search was "175v" and the gas flow was" 2 L" at the room temperature. A Biologic parameters such as alkaline phosphates (ALP), osteocalcin, vitamin D (Vit. D) and calcium (Ca), Triglycerides (TG), Cholesterol (T.chol.), Estradiol and Glucose have studied in its serum.
