An accurate and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the determination of carbamazepine (CRN.) in pure and dosage forms. The method is based on the oxidation of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPHz) by potassium periodate than coupling with carbamazepine (CRN.) in alkaline medium to form a stable yellowish brown colored water-soluble dye with a maximum absorption at 485 nm. The variables that affect the completion of reaction have been carefully optimized. Beer’s law is obeyed over the concentration range of (4-50 μg.mL-1) with molar absorptivity of (6.7335×103 L.mol-1.cm1). The limit of detection was (0.1052 μg.mL-1) and Sandell’s sensitivity value was 0.0350 μg.cm-2.The proposed method has been applied successfully to the determination of carbamazepine in pharmaceutical preparation.

This study objective is to identify the visual pollution in Karrada district main streets as an example of main streets in Baghdad, the public opinion about each pollutants, solutions to reduce and eliminate the pollution were suggested as well. In order to accomplish this objective different methods were used, 16 pollutants were selected, pictures of each pollutants were taken and a questioner were distributed randomly for 270 people to evaluate the public opinion with statistical methods. Serum adenosine deaminase (ADA) activity was determined in 30 blood sample of type 1 diabetic individuals 30 blood sample for the type 2 and 15 normal children as a control for type 1 15 normal adults as control for type 2. The mean ADA activity and specific activity in type 1 was (8.85± 5.55 U/mg of protein) which is compared with control (32.11± 1.54 U/mg of protein) while in type 2 was (48.46±11.91 U/mg of protein) is compared with control (5.18± 2.27 U/mg of protein ). We conclude that the altered blood level of ADA activity may help in predicting immunological dysfunction in diabetic individuals and also has a prognostic value.
In this research velocity of moving airplane from its recorded digital sound is introduced. The data of sound file is sliced into several frames using overlapping partitions. Then the array of each frame is transformed from time domain to frequency domain using Fourier Transform (FT). To determine the characteristic frequency of the sound, a moving window mechanics is used, the size of that window is made linearly proportional with the value of the tracked frequency.
