A simple, fast, and sensitive batch and flow injection spectrophotometric
methods have been developed for the determination of clonazepam(CZP) in pure
form and in pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed methods are based on the
oxidative coupling reaction of the reduced clonazepam using Zn powders and conc.
HCl with payrocatechol and in the presence of ferric sulphate. The resulting reddish
colored product had a maximum absorbance at 515 nm. The optimum reaction
conditions and other analytical parameters have been evaluated . The linear ranges
for the batch and FI methods determination of CZP were 0.5-32, 50-400 μg mL-1
and the detection limits were 0.193, 22.60 μg mL-1 for both methods respectively.

   The  objective of this study was to determine the concentration of trace element chromium(III) and thyroid peroxidase activity in human serum , and    to find a relationship between the concentration of chromium(III) and thyroid peroxidase activity in serum of patients with hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism and healthy subjects. Serum thyroid peroxidase was measured by enzyme linked radioimmunoassay(ELISA) method and chromium determination was by atomic absorption spectrophotometer .Comparing the values of chromium concentration and thyroid peroxidase activity in both samples showed that there were significant positive correlations between chromium levels and thyroid peroxidase activity(P<0.01, r=0.11).

In this study, the attention was focused on the protective role of seeds oil from local Onopordum acanthium L. (cotton thistle) against tissues damage in the liver, kidney and spleen in male albino rats. Forty adult male rats were randomly divided into four equal groups including control group, rats were treated orally with seeds oil (0.5ml/kg), carbon tetrachloride (CCL₄) injected group, and last group was intoxicated with CCL₄ and daily treated with seed oil (0.5ml/kg).       In this paper, the interplay among four population species is offered. The system consists of two competitive prey, predator and super predators. The application of the hypothesis of the Sotomayor theorem for local bifurcation around every equilibrium point is adopted. It is detected that the transcritical bifurcation could occur near most of the system's equilibrium points, while saddle-node and pitchfork bifurcation can not be accrued at any of them. Further, the conditions that guarantee the accruing Hopf bifurcation are carried out. Finally, some numerical analysis is illustrated to confirm the analytical results.
