Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disorder of the central nervous system (CNS) characterized by autoimmune inflammation, demyelination, and axonal damage. The present study aimed to shed a light on the contribution of interlukin-35 and its relation to some sex hormones in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis. Sixty six female patients with age range (20-40) years were taken from Baghdad Teaching Hospital through the period from Nov. 2012 to –April 2013 and 20 apparently healthy subject as control group matched age as group G1. The patients were divided into three groups depending on duration of MS diseases G2 from 3 months to 2 years, G3 from 2 years to 4 years, G4 from 4 years to 10 years and more. Investigations included estimation of serum levels of Interlukin-35 (IL-35), Testosterone (TEST), Progesterone (PROG), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and Prolactin (PRL). Serum IL-35 levels were significantly higher in MS patients as compared with control subject, also significant increase appeared in TEST levels in G3 compared to control in for MS female patients. No significant differences were found between PROG and FSH with duration also non-significant difference levels G2 compared to G1 in LH, on the other hand a significant increase levels for LH in G3 and G4 compared to control subject , a significant difference in prolactin levels for G2 and G4, but non-significant difference for G3. From this study a conclusion was drawn, that evaluation of concentration of a new super family cytokines IL-35 can be considered as a clinical biomarker in multiple sclerosis female patients. This finding may indicate that MS might influence cytokine e.g. interleukin-35 production in these patients.

The glucagon-like peptide-1 is secreted by intestinal L cells in response to nutrient ingestion. It regulates the secretion and sensitivity of insulin while suppressing glucagon secretion and decreasing postprandial glucose levels , additionally, glucagon-like peptide-1 delays gastric emptying and suppresses appetite. The impaired secretion of glucagon-like peptide-1 has negative influence on hyperlipidemia, diabetes and insulin resistance related diseases the levels of its secretion change with the intake of different nutrients. Some drugs also have influence on GLP-1 secretion .
A harvested prey-predator model with infectious disease in preyis investigated. It is assumed that the predator feeds on the infected prey only according to Holling type-II functional response. The existence, uniqueness and boundedness of the solution of the model are investigated. The local stability analysis of the harvested prey-predator model is carried out. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the persistence of the model are also obtained. Finally, the global dynamics of this model is investigated analytically as well as numerically. It is observed that, the model have different types of dynamical behaviors including chaos.
The study includes collection of data about cholera disease from six health centers from nine locations with 2500km2 and a population of 750000individual. The average of infection for six centers during the 2000-2003 was recorded. There were 3007 cases of diarrhea diagnosed as cholera caused by Vibrio cholerae. The percentage of male infection was 14. 7% while for female were 13. 2%. The percentage of infection for children (less than one year) was 6.1%, it while for the age (1-5 years) was 6.9%and for the ages more than 5 years was 14.5%.The total percentage of the patients stayed in hospital was 7.7%(4.2%for male and 3.4%for female).
