The Sr doped La1Ba1-xSrx Ca2Cu4O8.5+δ samples with 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.3 had been prepared using the solid state reaction. The samples were claimed at 800°C for 3hr, palletized and sintered at 860°C for 20hr in air . Dielectric constant and loss by means of capacitance have been investigated with frequencies in the range of 1kHZ to 1MHZ for our samples at room temperature. Also, Shore hardness has been measured. The dielectric constant and loss decrease slightly with the increase of frequency for all compounds. Additionally, the partial substitution of Sr+2 into Ba+2 sites never have effect on the dielectric properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed a tetragonal structure and the as grown La1Ba1-xSrx Ca2Cu4O8.5+δ correspond to the 1124 phase. It was found that the change of the Sr concentrations of all our samples produces a change in a, c and c/a parameters.

In this work, Kinetic Phosphorescence Analyzer (KPA) has been used to measure the concentrations of uranium (UC) and Amorphous crystals (AMO) in urine samples of breast cancer patients in Baghdad. Additionally, a relation between UC and AMO with respect to patient's age has been deduced and studied.
Forty one urine samples of patients and five for healthy were taken from females lived in different residential area of Baghdad. The measured maximum UC value for urine samples of patients was 2.35 ± 0.053, the minimum value was 0.86 ± 0.034 μg/L, and an overall average was 1.6 ± 0.027 μg/L while the average UC for healthy females was 1.03 ± 0.020 μg/L.

The fatty acid composition in the seed and flower of Ligustrun lucidum and olive oil was studied by Gas Chromatography. Results showed that the main components of seed oil were Palmitic (C16:0) 5,893% ,Palmitolic acid (C16:1)0,398%, Steaeic (C18:0)2,911% ,Oleic (C18:1)74,984%,Linoleic (C18:2) 12,959%,and Linolenic (C18:3) 0,997%. The adsorption of Pb(II) ions onto bentonite and activated carbon was investigated. The effects of pH, initial adsorbent dosage, contact time and temperature were studied in batch experiments. The maximum adsorption capacities for bentonite and activated carbon were 0.0364 and 0.015 mg/mg, respectively. The m-consecutive-k-out-of-n: F linear and circular system consists of n sequentially connected components; the components are ordered on a line or a circle; it fails if there are at least m non-overlapping runs of consecutive-k failed components. This paper proposes the reliability and failure probability functions for both linearly and circularly m-consecutive-k-out-of-n: F systems. More precisely, the failure states of the system components are separated into two collections (the working and the failure collections); where each one is defined as a collection of finite mutual disjoint classes of the system states. Illustrative example is provided.
The study designed to determine the distribution of a major important food pathogens including Staphylococcus aureus , Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157:H7 and Salmonella spp from raw beef and lamb meat by using multiplex pcr . A total of 90 raw beef and lamb meat samples were collected from different butcher's shops in Al-Karkh side of Baghdad city and analyzed for the presence of these types of bacteria and their susceptibilities to some antibiotics was investigated ,the results showed that the prevalence of S. aureus (5.6%), L. monocytogenes (3%), E. coli O157:H7 (7.8 %) and Salmonella spp (5.6%) from the total samples .The result of the susceptibility test showed that S. aureus isolates were susceptible to Amikacin (80%) ,while L.
