A solid Phase Extraction (SPE) cartridges followed by HPLC-UV method is described for the simultaneous quantitative determination of benzidine (BZ) and its substituted 3, 3’-dichlorobenzidine (DCB) and 3, 3’-Dimethylbenzidine (DMB). The Benzidines were separated by liquid chromatography using a C-18 column with UV detector at wave length of 280nm. The mode of Flow was isocratic. The mobile phase was consisted of 75:25 methanol: water, column temperature 50C°, and Flow Rate 1.8ml/min. Calibration curves were linear (R2 = 0.9979-0.9995). Acute myeloid leukemia is a malignant disease results from mutation in a multipotent haemopoietic stemcell. The study aimed to investigate NPM1 and FLT3-ITD mutations in Iraqi patients with AML and correlateresults with other clinical and laboratory findings. Fifty-eight AML patients, admitted to Baghdad TeachingHospital from October 2019 till March 2020 in addition to 25 normal controls, were included in the study.A detailed history, laboratory investigations including FLT3-ITD and NPM1 mutations were collected fromand analyzed.          Saccharomyces cerevisiae filtrate showed inhibitory effect against Fusarium spp. when grow in a liquid medium (Sabouraud) with different concentrations (1, 3, 5) %. The higher inhibitory effect against fungus growth was (24.5) mm at (5%) in PDA medium compared with control (36.5) mm during the seventh day propagation. The filtrate of Lactobacillus plantarum isolate was mixed with the PDA medium ,which showed inhibitory effect against Fusarium spp. The concentrated filtrate( one fold) appcarcd a  higher effect against the same fungus compared with un concentrated filtrate one.
