Current study aimed to investigate the effect of piroxicam on some hematological
and biochemcal parameters. For this reason forty males mature Sprage Dawlley rats
were divided into four equal groups. control group administrated distilled water
(G1), and three groups administrated (20mg/kg,30mg/kg,40mg/kg) body weight of
piroxicam for 45 days. The results showed significant decrease (P<0.05) in
hemoglobin (Hb) and packed ceq volume (PCV) in groups treated with
(30,40)mg/kg of piroxicam, while the treated groups produced significant increease
(P<0.05) in the total white blood cell count (WBC). On the serum biochemical
porameters, Piroxicam caused increase in the level of liver enzyme amunotans ferase
(ALT)

Background: breast cancer is commonest cancer globally and the 1st cancer in Iraq among females, its management and prognosis depend on early diagnosis, the traditional method was excisional biopsy which is expensive and invasive leading to delayed diagnosis, FNAB is cheap nom invasive more acceptable to women, Aim of the study: to test the reliability of FNAB in preoperative diagnosis of breast lump.

Two isolates of Staphylococcus xylosus (urease producer and non urease producer) were injected in mice at a dose of 2 × 108 colony-forming units (CFU) intraurethrally. Results showed that both isolates were able to colonize kidney and bladder of the injected mice, regardless of their urease production. Moreover, there were insignificant differences between the two groups. These results emphasized the pathogenicity of this bacteria in UTI.

This study aims to explain the purposes of thinking in light of the Holy Qur’an. The purpose of this study was to examine the histological structure of the kidney in snake Eryx gaculus gaculus. In present study, the snakes were collected from the city of Baghdad and transferred to the laboratory where their kidneys were dissected out. The samples were then processed to be prepared for histological examination microscopial observations showed that there is no border between the cortex and medulla regions of kidney. The kidney consists of nephrons which are composed of glomerulus surrounded by Bowman’s capsule; the other segments are proximal tubule, distal tubule and connecting tubule. An attempt was made to determine the insect parasites of cockroaches in Iraq. As a result of this survey three species of Hymenoptera representing two separate families, which have been reared from ootheca of cockroaches were recovered. These were: Evania dimidiata Fabricius, Evania appendigaster (Linnaeus) (Evaniidae) and Anastatus longicornis sp. n. (Eupelmidae) which described here as a new species from Iraq.
