Approximate Solutions for Alcohol Consumption Model in Spain

In this paper, our aim is to solve analytically a nonlinear social epidemic model as an initial value problem (IVP) of ordinary differential equations. The mathematical social epidemic model under study is applied to alcohol consumption model in Spain. The economic cost of alcohol consumption in Spain is affected by the amount of alcohol consumed. This paper refers to the study of alcohol consumption using some analytical methods. Adomian decomposition and variation iteration methods for solving alcohol consumption model have used. Finally, a compression between the analytic solutions of the two used methods and the previous actual values from 1997 to 2007 years is obtained using the absolute and relative errors. The analysis results obtained have been discussed tabularly and graphically.

The effect of material flow cost accounting in reducing the cost of products - an applied study in Diyala State Company

Abstract

The current research sought to demonstrate the effect of material flow cost accounting on reducing products through the application of material flow cost accounting technique, which works on the optimal utilization of materials and energy and the reduction of environmental impacts. The research aims to clarify the knowledge foundations for material flow cost accounting, in addition to studying the material flow cost accounting technique that helps reduce the cost of products and make them environmentally friendly. To achieve this, the research relied on the descriptive approach with regard to the theoretical aspect of the resea

Estimation of pentraxin-3(PTX3)in Rheumatoid arthritis males patients with (with and without) type II diabetes mellitus in Iraq

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease its etiology is  unknown . The classical autoimmune diseases, have adaptive immune genetic associations with autoantibodies and major histocompatibility complex(MHC) class II such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), diabetes mellitus type two (DM II). Serum of99 males suffering from RA without DMII as group (G1), 45 males suffering from RA with DM II as group (G2) and 40 healthy males as group (G3) were enrolled in this study to estimation of alkaline phosphates (ALP),C-reactive protein(CRP) and Pentraxin-3(PTX). Results showed a highly significant increase in PTX3 levels in G1 and G2 compared to G3 and a significant decrease in G1comparing to G2. Results also revealed a si

Spectrophotometric Determination of Thymol in Pharmaceutical Preparations Via Oxidative Coupling Reaction with 2,4- dinitrophenylhydrazine in the Presence of Potassium Periodate

A new, simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of Thymol in pure and mouth wash preparations has been proposed in this study. The method was based on oxidation of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine with potassium periodate and coupling with Thymol in alkaline medium to form an intense violet water-soluble dye that is stable and has a maximum absorption at 570 nm. A graph of absorbance versus concentration shows that Beer’s law was obeyed over the concentration range of 0.25-10 μg.mL-1 of Thymol, with detection limits of 0.063 μg.mL-1. All experimental parameters that affect the development and stability of the colored product were carefully studied and the proposed method was successfully applied to the determina

Determination of Serum Zinc, Manganese, Copper and Cobalt Traces In Type Two Diabetic Patients in Sulaimaniyah City Using ICP Technique

Direct determination of trace metals Zn, Mn, Cu and Co were performed in serum
blood samples of two groups diabetic patient type 2 and non diabetes by ICP spectrometric
method. Results show the low levels of these elements Zn, Mn and Co while high level of Cu
detected compared with non diabetes according to these results good evidence can be made to
control these levels through a special diet containing these metals.

Bacteriological and Chemical Study on the Effect of Lead in Blood and Saliva of Workers at Batteries Industry in Baghdad

Objectives: The study aims at:
1- Measuring the level of lead in workers’ saliva and blood in the factory.
2- Studying the correlation between the saliva lead level and the infection that caused by microorganisms, isolation and
identification.
3-Studying the influence of high blood lead level on the total white blood cells.
Methodology: This study has been conducted for the period from March 15th, 2010 to May, 20th
, 2010. A total of (60)
saliva and blood samples were collected from workers in batteries industry factory in Baghdad and another (20) samples
were collected as a control group. Lead level had been measured in blood and saliva samples, then microorganisms were
isolated the from the saliva samples.

Detection of Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum in Blood Samples of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss in Women by Polymerase Chain Reaction.

Background: Genital mycoplasma are implicated in pelvic inflammatory disease, puerperal infection, septic abortion, low birth weight, nongonococcal urethritis and prostatitis as well as spontaneous abortion and infertility in women.

Objective: We aimed to find a relationship between repeated abortions of unknown etiology and caused of Mycoplasma hominis and\or Ureplasma urealyticum.

Methods: one hundred sixty cases, (15-49 years old) with history of recurrent abortion, intrauterine fetal death and\or neonatal death (after exclusion of other factors as cause abortion), and hundred women with normal pregnancy outcome with the same age were chosen as contro

Effect of a novel coating material on the microleakage of glass hybrid restoration in primary teeth – An in vitro study

Background: Glass ionomer restorations are widely employed in the field of pediatric dentistry. There is a constant demand for a durable restoration that remains functional until exfoliation. This study aimed to measure and compare the effect of a novel coating material (EQUIA Forte Coat) on the microleakage of glass hybrid restoration (EQUIA Forte HT) in primary teeth. Material and method: Thirty cavitated (class-II) primary molars were allocated randomly into two groups based on the coat application; uncoated (control) and coated group (experimental). Cavities were prepared by the use of a ceramic bur (CeraBur) and restored with EQUIA Forte HT with or without applying a protective coat (EQUIA Forte Coat). Samples went through the
