Adsorption of Methyl Violet Dye from Aqueous Solution by Iraqi Bentonite and Surfactant – Modified Iraqi Bentonite
...Show More Authors

Natural bentonite (B) mineral clay was modified by anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and characterized using different techniques such as: FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD). The bentonite and modified bentonite were used as adsorbents for the adsorption of methyl violet (MV) from aqueous solutions. The adsorption study was carried out at different conditions such as: contact time, pH value and adsorbent weight. The adsorption kinetic described by pseudo– first order and pseudo – second order equilibrium experimental data described by Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherm models. The thermodynamic parameters standard free energy ( ), standard entropy ( ) standard enthalpy ( ) were investigated and determined.

Spectrophotometric Determination of Sulfathiazole Using 2,4 –dinitrophenylhydrazine as Coupling Reagent
...Show More Authors

A rapid, sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method was developed for determination of sulfathiazole (STHZ) in aqueous solution. The method is based on the  oxidative coupling reaction with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (2,4-DNPH) in a basic medium (pH 10.9) in the presence of  potassium periodate to produce an intense orange colour, soluble in water , stable product and absorbs at 492 nm. Beer's law was in the linear range 2.0-28.0 μg/ml of sulfathiazole, the molar absorptivity, Sandellʼs sensitivity index and detection limit were 1.1437 ×104 liter. mol-1.cm-1,0.0223 μg.cm-2 and 0.1274 μg/ml respectively. The RSD value was  0.75 - 1.12 % depending on the concentration. This method was applied successfu

A Theoretical Study of The Influence of Donor Sensitize Dye on Performance of Dye-sensitized Solar Sells DSSCs
...Show More Authors

In this paper, a theoretical study was introduced to discussion the  Influence of donor senstizer on efficiency of solar cell with clear  focusing on dye senstized solar cell DSSCs applications was presented. Use of donor  as -sensitizer dye in solar cells was a viable contender in photovoltaics due to their spectrum of excited state to transfer more elkectrons to conduction band of semiconductor  .In this study, two systems Alq3/ZnO and D149/ZnO devices taken with same two solvents .Transtion energy ,coupling strength and transtion parameters are used to calculate the  electron current density , it  uses to calculate the photovoltic characteristic I-V ,fill factor and the efficiency of th

Study of Dynamic Sorption in Adsorption Refrigeration Cycle
...Show More Authors

This paper shows the characteristics of temperature and adsorbed (water vapor) mass rate distribution in the adsorber unit which is the key part to any adsorption refrigeration system. The temperature profiles of adsorption/desorption phases (Dynamic Sorption) are measured experimentally under the operating conditions of 90oC hot water temperature, 30oC cooling water temperature, 35oC adsorption temperature and cycle time of 40 min. Based on the temperature profiles, The mass transfer equations for the annulus adsorbent bed are solved to obtain the distribution of adsorption velocity and adsorbate concentration using non-equilibrium
model. The relation between the adsorption velocity with time is investigated during the process of ads

Individual cannot live alone due to to his need for others to facilitate His supplies for living, thus social affiliation is considered one of the most important psychological, social needs in individuals life through his willing to affiliate to others whether they were friends ,family, colleague , or even home to reach some degree of  psychological stability.

Affiliation is a tool to search for Satiate through living with group from the same type or comply for group or to be compatible with them or even to be adherent and accept what the group agreed about of criterion.

Psychological Pollution in Iraqi Society and its Relationship With some Variables
...Show More Authors

The research aims to identify the level of psychological pollution in Iraqi society and the significant differences in psychological pollution in the Iraqi society according to variables. A sample of (600) individuals randomly selected from all governorates of Iraq, with (285) males and (315) females was used in the current study. The researcher adopted the scale of (Muhammad, 2004) psychological pollution consisting of (118) items, which limited (46) items after modification distributed into four areas: denial and abuse of the civilized identity, attachment to foreign formal aspects, effeminacy, and anarchism. The results of the research showed that there is no statistical significance among the individuals of the research sample. They

Biochemical Study on Splenectomy and Non Splenectomy Iraqi Major Thalassemic Patients
...Show More Authors

In this study the activities of alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate transaminase (AST) were evaluated, in addition to total protein and albumins in sera of sixty one subjects whose ages were ranged between(4-16) years. These subjects were, twenty eight major thalassemic patient (12 with splenectomy and 16 non splenectomy ) and fifteen with minor thalassemia. eighteen healty subjecte as control. The result revealed a significant elevation in the activities of both aminotransferases enzymes (AST and ALT) in the sera of all the alassmic patient groups compared with control. Also a significant increase in the activity of ALT in sera of non-splenectomy compared to splenectomy major thalassemic patient , which could be an indicative of th
