Role of Salsylic Acid, Fertilizer NPKzn and Sodium Chloride and Theris interactions in Some Morphological Parameters of Allium cepa L.

 The experiment was condncted in greenhouse of Botanical Garden at Biology Garden Dept,College of Education for Pure Science (Ibn-Al-Haitham),University of Baghdad , during the growing season  2013-2014 to study the role of salcylic acid in three concentrations (0.12and24) ppm and two levels of NPKZn fertilizer ( 0. 160) kg.H‾1 and four concentrations of sodium chloride (0.50.100and150) Mmol and the intreaction between salcylic acid and NPKZn on some of morphological parameters of Allium cepa.                                 The experiment was performed with random compelete block design (RCBD)with three replications and the results showed the following                                                         1-The sparying of salcylic acid led to aignificant increase in all parameters compared with control treatment              .                         2-Treatment with two levels of NPKZn fertilizer caused a significant increase in all    parameters                                                                                                                                      3-The interaction between salcylic acid and NPKZn fertilizer led to increase all parameters and the treated plants with 24 ppm showed the highest influence.

Variation of Faba Beans (Vicia faba L.) Traits Induced By Heat, Electric Shock and Mutagen Nitrous Acid

This research was carried out to determine the impact of heat shock, electric shock and seeds in soaking nitrous acid mutagen solution on three cultivars of faba beans plant (Zaina, Aguadulce and Local) at the year 2012-2013. Factorial experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replicates were used. The results showed that heat shock lead to early plants of 50% in flowering and an increase in the number of branches/plant and the number of seeds/pod compared to other treatments, whereas the seeds soaked in nitrous acid mutagen solution gave the highest plant height, leaf area index, number of pods/plant, seed weight, seed yield kg/ha, and did not differ significantly with treatment of electric shock in the

Anatomical and physiological traits of broad bean (Vicia faba L.) seedling affected by salicylic acid and salt stress

A laboratory experiment was carried out at the College of Agriculture University of Baghdad in 2017. The aim was to improve the anatomical and physiological traits of broad bean seedling under salt stress by soaking it in salicylic acid. The concentrations of salicylic acid were 0, 10, and 20 mg L-1 and the electrical conductivity levels were 0, 3, and 6 dS m-1. The complete randomized design was used with four replications. The increasing of salicylic acid concentration up to 10 mg L-1 led to increasing the stem cortex thickness, stem vascular bundles thickness, and root cortex thickness significantly by (34.9,36.7,and 55 µm) respectively, while the treatment of 20 mg L-1 led to decreasing these traits by (28.2, 27.8, and 48.1 µm

    Total phenols, Proanthocyanidin, Catechin  and Epicatechin wrer extracted and determined in ten rachis and leaves of grape  varieties (Vitis vinifera L.) namely: Shadda Soudda, Rush Meo, Rossi 5, Kamali, Halawani, Black Monica, Dase Al-Anz,  Buhrizi, Rossi 7 and Thompson. through two seasons. Detection of some Physiological and Immunological parameters in Iraqi clinical and subclinical hypothyroid patients: Relationship study

The present study was performed to evaluate the level of some risk factors (biochemical and immunological) in hypothyroid Iraqi patients considering the different thyroid functional states (hypothyroidism and subclinical hypothyroidism).The study includes 82 patients clinically diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Three study groups have been investigated: (47 clinical hypothyroid patients, 12 subclinical hypothyroid patients 23 healthy individuals) of different ages. Determination and measuring some of the physical and chemical parameters in the clay of Lake Hamrin, Iraq

The composition of the clay taken from the lake of Hamrin, Iraq was studied with the determination of the concentrations of the major oxides and the minor oxides in it.   Kaolinite was the most dominant clay in the samples, while quartz was the most abundant non-clay mineral. 

Some physico-chemical parameters in lake's water were determined such as oxygen, a chlorosity, nutrient salts,  pH, total alkalinity, total nitrogen, total phosphorous and silicate.
