Tridentate Schiff base ligand L2 and its complexes with nickel(II), cobalt (II), copper (II), manganese (II) and mercury (II) ions have been synthesized by the condensation of 4Aminoantipyrine, Benzoin, then the ligand (L1) and 3-amino benzoic acid. The ligand and its complexes were described by 1H-&13C-NMR, UV-visible, FT-IR, (only ligand), molar conductance elemental, analysis and magnetic susceptibility, calculations. It has been set that the ligand acts as (N, N, O) neutral tridentate forming chelates with stoichimetry (metal: ligand) (1:1). all metal complexes is suggested Octahedral configuration. Most of the prepared compounds show antibacterial activity to (Staphylococcus aureus),(Escherichia coli), (Bacillussubtilis) and (Pseudomonas aeroginosa).
The study involved 45 male and 45 females of diabetic patients type- ?? aged from 40-69years , and with the same numbers of males and females for control , all the patients and controls were without any periodontal diseases and without any systemic disease. The chemicals materials were used to study the effect of citric acid, detergents, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate on the vitality of the third stage of mosquito Culex pipiens molestus. The highest larvicidal efficacy was established from citric acid solution followed by detergents solution, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate with (LC50) values 2096, 2715, 13930, 13960 ppm respectively. The concentration of 1000 ppm of citric acid showed a fatal effect on the third stage larvae of mosquitoes which gave a mortality percent of 100% on the second day of the treatment.
