This paper concerns with deriving and estimating the reliability of the multicomponent system in stress-strength model R(s,k), when the stress and strength are identical independent distribution (iid), follows two parameters Exponentiated Pareto Distribution(EPD) with the unknown shape and known scale parameters. Shrinkage estimation method including Maximum likelihood estimator (MLE), has been considered. Comparisons among the proposed estimators were made depending on simulation based on mean squared error (MSE) criteria.
The present study is to investigate the possibility of using wastes in the form of scrap iron (ZVI) and/ or aluminum ZVAI for the detention and immobilization of the chromium ions in simulated wastewater. Different batch equilibrium parameters such as contact time (0-250) min, sorbent dose (2-8 g ZVI/100 mL and 0.2-1 g ZVAI/100 mL), initial pH (3-6), initial pollutant concentration of 50 mg/L, and speed of agitation (0-250) rpm were investigated. Maximum contaminant removal efficiency corresponding to (96 %) at 250 min contact time, 1g ZVAI/ 6g ZVI sorbent mass ratio, pH 5.5, pollutant concentration of 50 mg/L initially, and 250 rpm agitation speed were obtained.
The best isotherm model for the batch single Cr(III) uptake by ZVI

The analytical results show that the cultivation medium contained high concentration of (Na, Al, Si, S, K, Ca, Fe) and low concentration of (Mg, P, Cl, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn). The samples also contained trace concentration of (Ge, As, Se, Br, Sr, Y, Mo, Cd, I, Hg, Pb, U). The results were compared using atomic absorption spectrophotometric technique for measuring the concentration of (K, Ca, Cu, Mn, Zn, Pb).
The Results showed that there is significant difference in the concentration of each element in most of the samples. The concentrations of elements a

This work designed a PSO technique for estimating everyday BOD at Al-Rustumiya wastewater treatment facility inlet. Al-Rustumiya wastewater treatment plant provided 702 plant-scale data sets during 2012-2022. The PSO model uses the daily data of the water quality parameters, including chemical oxygen demand (COD), chloride (Cl-), suspended solid (SS), total dissolved solids (TDS), and pH, to determine how each variable affects the daily incoming BOD. PSO and multiple linear regression (MLR) findings are compared, and their perfor

Heat and mass transfer were investigated in terms of viscous dissipations, thermal radiation and chemical reaction. The governing Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) were transformed into an arrangement of non-linear Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) by using the similarity transformation. The resulting system of ODEs is solved numerically by using shooting method along with Adams-Moulton Method of order four with the help of the computational software FORTAN. Furthermore, we compared our results with the existing results for especial cases. which are in an excellent agreement. The

Biological experiment was performed (with Complete Random Design (CRD)) by using sterile and non-sterile soil, to investigate Rhizobium leguminosarum isolate ability to enhance fava beans (Vicia faba) plant. The experiment includes: control group (C), fertilizer treatment as group 1 (F), and Rhizobium leguminosarum inoculum treatments as group 2 (R). Fava beans seeds were planted in pots filled with 5 Kg soil (sterile and non-sterile), and after seven weeks of germination, length and weight of plant vegetative part and plant root were measured. The ability of Rhizobium leguminosarum isolate to produce hydrolytic enzymes (chitinase, pectinase, protease, and lipase) was studied. The results show that the

This is achieved via an atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasma glow discharge between two electrodes. One of these electrodes is a capillary tube placing over solution about (1 cm) that acts as the cathode, while the other electrode is a metal disk immersed in the solution and acts as an anode. Glow discharge process carried out at room temperature using a home-made cell with (6 KV) applied voltage and direct current (DC) about (1.8 mA) for different discharge periods. A wide range of bimetallic Ag//Au colloidal MNPs was rapidly synthesized as a result of non-thermal plas

However, corrosion poses a challenge in concrete buildings with steel reinforcement. This paper explores the possibility of using glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) reinforcement as a non-corrosive and economically viable substitute for steel reinforcement in short square hollow concrete columns. Twelve hollow short columns were meticulously prepared in the laboratory experiments and subjected to pure axial compressive loads until failure. All columns featured a hollow square section with exterior dimensions of (180 × 180) mm and 900 mm height. The columns were categorized into

Greater attention must be paid to applying more sustainable techniques for treating wastewater contaminated with antibiotics. Semiconductor photocatalytic processes have proven to be the most effective methods for the degradation of antibiotics. Thus, constructing durable and highly active photocatalytic hybrid materials for the photodegradation of antibiotic pollutants is challenging. Herein, FeTiO3/Fe-doped g-C3N4 (FTO/FCN) heterojunctions were designed with different FTO to FCN ratios by matching the energy level of semiconductors, thereby developing effective direct Z-type heterojunctions. The photodegradation behaviors of th
